The Hummus and Pita Co. is wonderful. So many vegan and gluten-free options with welcoming service. I was very satisfied with my food and this is now one of my favorite places to eat out.

We just tried the hummus and pita. Both were very good. My kids can be picky, but they loved the pita. Before we left the parking lot we had to return and buy more. I am definitely looking forward to going back and trying their other dishes.

visited summer 2021This place is fairly easy to get to and see from the highway. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything seemed clean and relatively well organized. The food is about what you'd expect for a commercialized pita place. It's good, but others in town are better. The baklava is bad, and is basically just crust with coffee cake filling. Would probably not go again.

First time to visit. I got the #3 with tea and cost was $15. Hummus and pita were fantastic. Meal was pretty good. Way more food than I could eat.

So much food! Enough to save for lunch the next day. And they have Vegan Shawarma! Perfect place to eat if you are vegan and like spices, flavor, and alive (raw) food. They have Chickpea smoothies in different flavors all dairy free! What? So good. Side note: Meat eaters will love too. Everybody's happy!

I am so excited to have another vegan option in Huntsville! I wish I could shout out to the folks in the burger business, next door, what they are missing, (real, healthy food!)The ROYGBIV, I think its called, is fantastic! It's like a smorgasbord of deliciousness! They also have a dairy free, guilt free, chick pea chocolate shake. The staff is awesome. There's outdoor seating! This place lacks nothing!

Went here for the first time today and really loved the ROYGBIV bowl. I appreciate how easy it was to identify which items are gluten free. Love this healthy option for eating out!

Hummus and Pita Company is the most recently opened eatery in Times Plaza, standing alongside a bevy of other options like Bad Daddy's, Super Chix, Just Love Coffee, and Stone Age. This H and P is the first Alabama location (and second in the southeast), but the chain has several locations in the northeast and has grown large enough that nutritional information is available on their website, which I really appreciate.H and P is similar to local Huntsville option, Fresko Grill, but with, I would say, more options to choose from for wraps, toppings, fillings, sides, and desserts. It's also a bit friendlier on the wallet: boyfriend and I ate for right at $25, though we shared a drink and side (which was plenty, even for those of us with large appetites).Like Fresko, it's a sort of Mediterranean Chipotle. Choose the vessel for your food: pita bread, laffa bread, bowl, or greens; select your protein (I doubt I can list all the options, but there was chicken shawarma, chicken tabun, gyro meat, falafel, etc); select a single filling from numerous different salad-y type options, select more toppings like individual veggies, and choose a sauce, which is served on the side. The restaurant was totally empty when I walked in around 12:45 on Wednesday. Three people were working. Only one lady was particularly friendly or welcoming; she did most of the work of preparing my food and ringing my order up, though one other worker made the fries at her behest. She had a bit of a hard time hearing me through my mask, so that made the process a bit slow, but overall she was nice and made my food just as I requested. We both opted for a pita with chicken shawarma. I added regular hummus and Israeli salad (diced tomatoes and cucumbers) with tzatziki sauce. Boyfriend got the same thing but also added red cabbage and red onion. You can have more than that, but the pita was fit to burst by the end, so it might be hard to swing. I made one pita a combo, adding my choice of regular (vs sweet potato) fries, and a nicely portioned drink. We ate the fries out of the bag on the way home. This is gonna sound weird, but they tasted very much like a super well made Wendy's fry. Like, the ~ideal~ Wendy's fry. That's not my favorite type of french fry, but they were pretty good! Could've used a bit more salt, but were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The pita were absolutely stuffed full of goodness. It was too large for me to finish, but I enjoyed it for the most part. The tzatziki was very creamy and smooth, the Israeli salad was very fresh, and the pita itself was soft and chewy. I couldn't taste much of the hummus inside the pita, but it added another smooth textural element that was nice. The shawarma was good too, tender and juicy, but my main complaint is that there were a few pieces of the outer part of the meat that had been shaved off the spit that were way too crispy and tasted a little acrid when you got a mouthful of them.On the whole, though, I enjoyed my meal, found the price appropriate, and the restaurant exceptionally clean. I would return here to try something else, or to get what I ordered again.

Great options for vegetarian/vegan. Lebanese cauliflower is incredible. Friendly service. A worker helped explain the menu and process to myself and another customer clearly and concisely. Would recommend!

Great pitas, hummus, and more with tons of vegetarian and vegan options and a variety of spice levels for all palates. Hope they stick around and keep the spicy stuff spicy!

Made my day! I had chicken shwarma with rice and taziki sauce - it was great. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. There is a very wide selection to make your meal "your own".But what really raises this establishment to 5-stars is the incredible staff. Friendly, helpful, neat - likely the best staff I have seen in years.Great food and an even greater staff!

We love this place. It's definitely a unique array of options, and you can tell everything is made fresh. Friendly staff. We ended up ordering catering from here for our office and it was a great spread.

The vegetarian options are really nice, you can have it in a bowl, wrap, and pita of course. Sadly the Baklava was not what I was expecting. The sweet potato fries could have cooked a little longer. I love seeing young people working, so hoping for all the best.

I really wanted to like this place. If you’re name includes Pita and Hummus you should expect both to be good. I have never had worse hummus or pita. Both tasted burnt and gross. Nothing in the line seemed fresh. I know it hasn’t been open long but a first impression is very important for new business.
