A very nice small donut shop. I would say this place is made to be very simple with minimum decoration which truly shows and the atmosphere give off a family owned store. The older lady that greeted us was very friendly and to the point. Now the review of the donuts. To be concise, it was good. The donut bread had an airy texture being light and very soft. The variety of different types of donuts made it easy to have different kinds, however, they do run out very quickly. The prices are very reasonable and would highly recommend others to try and get some. Warning though one would need to get there early to get what you want.
good donuts, friendly staff, could use some work on the exterior/interior to make it more inviting
Hard working lady
The lady that serviced me was quite short. The donuts were a little hard so I asked her to heat it. She acted like it was offensive. The donuts were good though. That was the saving grace.
Simple, and no hassle donut shop. Definitely set up to pickup and go, rather than eat in. Friendly but a little curt staff who stays focused on moving orders and getting everyone on their way.
Don't forget you can get your favorites filled up on request and for a small charge. That way you can get yourself a yummy custard filled chocolate glazed.

Our daughter moved here two years ago and told us she couldn't trust online reviews because Huntsville people are nice. We came from a southwest metro area to visit her, and this place proves her point. NO WAY, this is a 4.7. Small donuts, very limited selection, and less-than-adequate service. If you are desperate, it will suffice, but I would never return - not worth the money.

My husband spoke positively about the quality of the donuts with this company and wanted me to try them out. Since it was our first visit, we inquired about pricing for half dozen and a dozen donuts. The pricing wasn’t clear on the marquee and the lady helping us quoted $8 for half dozen and $12 for a dozen. While picking out our donuts, I noticed that when we asked for a maple bar and a Bavarian cream donut, she tried to put the maple bar back, as if we could only have one or the other. When she rang up our total, it came up to $17….How did $12(even after tax) add up to $17?!!! At that point I was over it and told my husband to just leave the donuts. When my husband mentioned the increase, the lady said that there was an up charge for “big donuts” (we had one cinnamon roll looking donut). The donuts were okay, but I wont be returning to this donut shop again.
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of yummy options for kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space for wheelchairs to move about in the store.

These are my favorite donuts. Not just my favorite donuts locally, but my favorite donuts, period. I've been getting these donuts for years, even before the name change to Daylight (Who remembers Donut Palace?) because this is what donuts are supposed to be like. Even other Daylight locations aren't quite as good. Is it the water? Or do they have a secret to making the yeast donuts so light and the cake donuts so moist?? I don't know, but everything about it reminds me of going to the little bakery in the small Midwestern town where I grew up. Highly recommend. (And people complaining about small sizes maybe don't understand that cake donuts are meant to be smaller because they're denser or perhaps are used to the super size of the more trendy "gourmet" donuts. These are perfect!)

Kolaches are always on point, but they can run out - that's how popular they are. They are generous when you buy large batches, and super nice every time.

Why is no one complaining about how small their doughnuts are?! It’s almost the size of mini doughnuts! The donuts are tiny but the sausage rolls were huge. They got my order wrong too. I wanted four plain and 2 jalapeño but I received 2 cheese and 4 jalapeño. Way overpriced too. I paid $32 for a dozen doughnuts and 6 sausage rolls. I miss when it used to be donut palace.
Amazing donuts!!
