The half-chicken and pork ribs are very good. The prices are reasonable as well. I wasn't impressed by the brisket; it seemed like it had been cooked at too high of a temperature and all the fat had been broken down instead of rendered properly. That's been true of every barbeque place I've been to though so it's not so much of an indictment against this establishment as it is against Alabama BBQ as a whole.

Oof.I should've listened to my dad, who's been here before and said it wasn't good, but me being me...I have to try everything for myself.I stopped here for lunch on Thursday. I arrived not too long after opening -- maybe 11:20. When I'd seen this place in the past, I couldn't tell if it was a drive-through or not, so I just parked and walked up. A car drove up to the ordering window as I was leaving though, so maybe you CAN drive through? Idk, it wasn't a huge deal for me to walk up regardless. There's no indoor dining or picnic tables outside, it's pretty much just a carryout-only place. I could smell smoke as I walked up, so I took that as a good sign, but sadly, I was wrong. There are two ordering windows, and I stood at the one adjacent to the menu with the blinking open sign for several minutes. I rang the bell when no service was imminent and still nothing for another few minutes. I was about to give up and walk away but I ducked my head around to the other window and after waiting another 30 seconds the window opened and a woman appeared to take my order.I will grant that she was pleasant and my order came out in a reasonable time after she took it, so that was nice. Additionally, the price was pretty good, about $8.30 for a pulled pork sandwich, a bag of chips, and a huge sweet tea. I didn't order a large tea; it just came that way. But not too bad a price for lunch.Unfortunately, lunch wasn't good, except for the sweet tea, which was solid - I'm glad I listened to other reviewers and got that instead of a Coke or something since I love sweet tea. The chips were a small bag of Golden Flake, classic style. I didn't get a choice in it, but that was fine by me.The barbeque though...I'm sorry, but it was some of the worst bbq I've had in a long time. The sandwich came with slaw on it, which isn't how I prefer my bbq sandwiches, but I tried it anyway to try to expand my palate. I don't dislike slaw necessarily, but this one was nasty and smelled super pungent, such that it stunk up my car on the drive to find a place with a trash can to throw away the rest of the sandwich. The bun was mediocre and turned to wet mush as I was taking my first (and last) bite. And the pork itself was dry, tough, and just gross. No bbq sauce to be found anywhere on the sandwich or in the to-go bag, but I don't think even the best sauce in the world could've saved this pork. Like I said -- oof.I feel bad leaving reviews this harsh, but it was a remarkably poor lunch experience. Two stars for the friendly service and the sweet tea.

18 dollars for a pork sandwich plate and regular pork sandwich is not worth it. Potato salad tastes like Kroger's!!!

This is our go to for lunch on a Saturday. The St.Louis Ribs are fabulous! They smoke ring is perfect, the meat falls off the bone, not over sauced and slightly heavy with the black pepper. If it is a holiday weekend we call ahead to reserve a slab. The BBQ sandwiches are basic and made to order. The BBQ sauce is vinegar based, needs to be bottled and on the Alabama products shelf in Publix. When you pick up your order and the line is long for the drive up window just park and walk up to the take out window. Whatever you do...if you like Sweet Tea, don't forget to get a to-go-cup! This is a take out only. I highly recommend M'ville BBQ for a small to medium event, family dinner or a quick meal. The business is not open on Sunday.

Absolutely some of the worst bbq I have ever ate. TRUST ME anyone saying anything different do not have a functional tongue. Or alternative motivation,,, not only is the bbq bad the sauce is also,, the slaw is weird,, the bread was not buttered or toasted,, the beans were straight out of a can. It's an insult to the public to serve such slop.Dietary restrictions: You will not eat your food.

Best bbq around. Chicken sandwich is to die for.
