I don’t understand why you can’t sub the sausage for something as simple as an egg or potato. I can’t consume pork. Either offer an alternative sausage meat or a substitute. Bar was also subpar and not many options to choose from.

“This was my first time at any Hattie B's. Now I know what all the talk is about. This is the best chain (maybe any kind) of bone in fried chicken I have had. You can tell it is cooked fresh. Nice crust. They offer various levels of heat. I chose medium (3rd on the scale). It was a little too hot for my liking. I will drop down to mild next time. I got the half bird so I could try both the dark and white meat. Both were good, but the dark meat wins out. The white was just a touch dry in spots (juicy overall). For sides, I got the potato salad and the black eyed pea salad. Both were good, but the potato salad wins. I wish they had hot black peas, mash potatoes with gravy, and rice as gravy as options, but they do not. They did have mac and cheese and fries as options. My friend got those and gave them high marks. Another added benefit is this chicken reheats great in an air fryer. The staff were friendly. We were there around 7:30 at night. It was a good crowd (mainly college aged) there. It is a nice area right near St. Vincent's Women and Children's Hospital.“

“Leaving gym to go eat our prepped dinner when a delightful aroma caught us by surprise. Went to window shop, and could not resist trying something. Staff was friendly and Sam was awesome, throwing in extra sauces and fries I forgot to add.

Then we got the food: it legitimately looks like something out of a dolled up commercial, with a delightful taste to boot. We will 100% be eating here again and recommending friends, thank you Sam and chefs for giving us a great meal and experience!“

“Decided to try this place yesterday. They are not dine in from what I saw so I ordered it through Uber Eats and had it delivered. This place had been recommended to me so I figured I'd try it. I got 1 bacon pizza, 1 Pepperoni, and a order of Buffalo wings. I'm not going to sugarcoat this. This pizza was mid at best it was just okay. Reminded me of generic pizza, like if you told me it was frozen pizza I'd believe you. It was like when Little Ceasars use to be bad because we all know they have gotten a lot better over the years. The pizza was really doughy. Like right on the verge of being raw dough. They put the toppings under the cheese so it was like I only had cheese pizza on one of them. It was a floppy mess and the sauce overpowered everything. Couldn't taste the Pepperoni or bacon and the cheese was a bit bland. 6/10 The wings were pretty good even though they ignored how I wanted them cooked. I wanted them extra well done like the option gave me on the app. We did not get that. They were a bit soggy but I have to admit they were still pretty good. Whatever Buffalo sauce they use absolutely said it. 7/10 All in all this place was decent but this would be low on my list of ever spending my money here again. I have been trying to try this place for awhile and when I finally did it was a huge let down.“

“I only come here when I be on the west but every time I do I'm never disappointed.Not only was our fish big enough to taste and see, it was fresh and hot and the owner came back to our car and said I don't think you have enough tartar sauce wait a min, and came back with 4 more lol, but this is a cool little spot to check out.

“Best food on the parkway if you ask me! If they ask you to pull down just know your food with be hot and fresh! I like to get the lemon pepper mild and catfish . Everything is always seasoned. However the soda fountain drink always seems a little flat. Also the lemon pepper mild wings has a little sweetness to it. Everyone is friendly.“

“Being a fan of the Powell family and their delectable food they create; I had to try their new chicken wing business endeavor as soon as I possibly could. Today was finally that day. I, of course, went into it with high expectations. I’m picky about my wings. You need that perfect crisp on the outside in order for the sauce to stick and hold properly without making the wing soggy. It can be a slippery slope for most, as they tend to overcook and dry out your wings to achieve that crisp or they devastatingly pull the wings too soon resulting in a already soggy wing before the sauce even hits it. I won’t even go into the fiasco when wings have terrible sauces. At Drumz & Flatz, you don’t have to worry about any of that! The wings are cooked fresh which ensures the meat stays juicy and the outside gets crispy. The sauces? Phenomenal. I mean, was there any doubt that they wouldn’t be? We had the Jamaican Jerk and Garlic Parmesan with a side of Honey Sriracha and Hot to try. Our plates were served with fries, celery sticks, and homemade ranch. That ranch was to die for. We used it for the wings, celery, and the fries! Also, thank you for serving celery sticks. These are an absolute necessity when eating wings. Everything was just so delicious! “We frequently order to go at this location. The food is always freshly made. The staff is friendly and you can tell they are doing their best. I would consider the food you get a good value. “I have been gatekeeping this place for years. Their wings are the absolute right size and cooked perfectly if you ask them to fry them hard. It is the pure definition of a hole in the wall. Their prices went up but not as expensive as other spots. Lemon or Garlic Pepper is my goto because their sauces are not good to me. It is super ghetto outside with geek monsters standing around lol. The wings are fire tho. I just wanted to give a quick shout out.“

“Honestly, the best place to get food at UAB. If you think the lunch rush is too much at HSC, just walk a little out of your way and you'll beat the rush, even at peak hours. The only downside is that there's no Wi-Fi here.

Food's great, though. Line's short. Service is good. I'd take WOW's Chicken Tenders combo over The Den anyday.

“Sooo first the food was great. wings were well cooked and very flavorful. Service was just ok...but the lady at the counter acted like some pissed in her food . no smiles dry communication. Great place for wings would recommend if you like wings just over look the service..“
