Burger Restaurants near Midland City

“Last night I drove from Ariton & my oldest son drove from Dothan and we ordered inside but the restaurant was closing in 10 min. All our food was placed in one bag so I separated it on the hood of my son jeep.He walk me to my car beside his and his food slid off the jeep onto the parking lot ground. He was upset so I ran to the door explain what happened so that I could place another order. The young lady ask what I ordered but remembered because we had just walked out. She ask the young guy in the back to redo the order, I was waiting to pay but she said ma’am just drive around to the window and I will hand you the order. The other cashier was cleaning up the dine in area with her. I was waiting at the window behind my son’s Jeep in drive thru to pay …She didn’t charge us anything. She gave it with a smile. I love her southern hospitality and I know any other restaurants would NOT have did that. I regret not asking her name but she has blonde hair and very pretty. Those 2 young guys in the back can really cook too. I often stop through to get a meal on my way back to Ariton Alabama from shopping in Dothan. I’m gonna tell everyone to stop in and dine. My funds were low but I did have enough for the order, it was just touching to know this place of business care about its customers. Best Burger!! You rock!! May God continue to bless this business. I see why they have been in business for years and the young lady also told us each time to have a blessed rest of the night.. she is a keeper🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹😇😇😇.. maybe the workers will remember our faces. “Dining room was closed. Ice cream machine broken . No onion rings. Cold burgers and burnt cheese curds. I have not been here in over a year and it was pretty much the same crap then.“

“This was a first for me and my family. We all enjoyed out food, the burgers are 🤌💯 the only reason that the atmosphere gets a lower score is bc this place is always so full of people (hence why it took so long to actually go.) We didnt eat inside, there's a drive thru, but there was still a little bit of a wait because of it being packed.“

One thing I have decided, work ethics and proper management are not as important as it once was. Many people are “flying by the seat of their pants” because they have been forced into positions they’ve no idea how to operate because of the lack of staff and support. Saying that, there are exceptions.

The server was great and very considerate. I was grateful she shared that the place was understaffed and there could be a longer wait time. She was very busy running the floor and door, but she was doing her best. I understood the situation and knew she couldn’t handle frequent rounds to the tables.

Oftentimes, that info is not disclosed and the attitudes and actions of the servers are horrible, resulting in “hangry” patrons and empty tables.

I did stay and my meal was served just as quick as any other time. And quite delicious I’d say. I’ll have another late night visit to Applebee’s!“

“DQ has gotten a bad rap on the internet and not to say some DQ, maybe as the internet suggests . To be fair, the DQ I went and go to has a good rating for the health department, and it's clean. Even in the lunch rush, I was impressed and will return.“

“Went in this morning for gravy & a biscuit. Every employee was friendly & efficient, service was not slow at all. I think it was the manager & started getting the food to the customers. She set an example for her employees & I admire her for that. Thanks to all of the employees there & thank you to the manager. The food was hot & delicious, & my decaf coffee was great.“

“Checkers really did their thing today. I visited at 10:17am 7/13/25.

The customer service was outstanding. My host was Kenyotta, she was so nice. My food was so good. The most crucial part is my drink was filled to the top with ice as I prefer keeping my drink crispy cold during a hot day. The coke was good. Wasn't flat, odd flavored or anything. It was perfect. Thankyou for the good service today.“

“Checkers dosnt get enough credit. From my experiences they are always friendly, always insures the speed of service, and quality of order. Food is always hot and fresh. The absolute best thing on the menu is the fry breaded mozzerella sticks. Man are they good. But the chicken bacon mother cruncher is also a favorite.“

“Hardees is a little proud of their food as it reflects in their prices.
They seem a little more pricey than others with not a whole lot of deals.
The atmosphere was very family friendly, the food was very fresh, the staff were friendly and seemed like they enjoyed being there.
I still recommend them over the golden arches.
Wish they'd bring back their fried chicken.
They could probably do a little better with discounts and better rewards in their app.
But overall, barring the elevated prices, you cant go wrong here.

“They make the best Alaskan fish sandwiches anywhere (including most actual seafood places). They make it fresh, so yeah you wait a few mins extra, but its worth the wait. Not from Dothan but stop here any time I'm driving through around lunch time at drive through. Wish the DQ in our city was as good.“

“I come to this McDonald's daily (normally around 7:30 am) for breakfast and have never had a problem until today (I came at 9:45, different crew). I placed my usual order and waited. Upon receiving my order my iced coffee was missing the Carmel so I asked for Carmel to be added. The lady (and I use that term lossely) said I put the Carmel in there (it was quite bitter with no Carmel taste at all) and made an ugly face at me. I then told the server at the front counter that they could throw the drink in the garbage as there was no way that I would drink it. The manager came out and offered a refund which I refused. Then the server came out and apologized which she had nothing to be sorry about. She said she had to tell the manager because she didn't want her face messed up (she was an older lady). Sad that she has to be scared of a co-worker. I decided to leave without eating anything.“
