“First time stopping by on Dawes Rd. Great friendly and helpful staff. Food was great with exceptional flavor. Ordered 1/2 rack of ribs, pulled pork sandwich, smoked chicken salad, side of baked beans and potatoe salad. Huge portions and great Smokey flavor. I highly recommend Coach Brown’s BBQ..!!!!“

“In a town full of BBQ joints, this one stands out alone. Simple. Delicious. Affordable. This place keeps the menu and the food simple in the best possible way. They know what they do and they knock it out of the park.The owner is very friendly and while the "atmosphere" of the restaurant is far from fancy, I will be ordering food from here every time I'm in Mobile, I can promise you that.If you're coming here to sit down and eat, don't expect anything fancy. Folding tables and canned drinks. Here, it's all about the meat, and frankly, that's all that matters when it's this good.“

“In my opinion, today’s food was awful. My grill quarters that I purchased as a take home meal was still pink on the inside as if it was rushed on the grill. They were out of a few items on menu. Lastly, what makes the taste of the chicken is the sauce that wasn’t even placed in the bag. I have had better but it was something about today. However, my son’s ribs in his opinion were burnt and just wasn’t good. I will return in hopes that the food is better.“

“The atmosphere was nice but the food was not all that. The food at home is much better at our regular barbecue place. The peach cobbler was dry and the crust was super thick. We did not eat it. My husband had the coleslaw. He said the coleslaw was dry and the ribs were okay which is what he had. The service however, was wonderful. The two ladies that were up front were very friendly and very talkative“

From the phone service when we called to ask if they could accommodate a large party, to the floor service from the moment we walked in until the time we left, everything was excellent. The family special was recommended, and it did not disappoint—the food was absolutely delicious and there was more than enough for everyone. Lexus, Keland, and Jasmine were amazing and made the experience even better. We will definitely be back!“
