“In a town full of BBQ joints, this one stands out alone. Simple. Delicious. Affordable. This place keeps the menu and the food simple in the best possible way. They know what they do and they knock it out of the park.The owner is very friendly and while the "atmosphere" of the restaurant is far from fancy, I will be ordering food from here every time I'm in Mobile, I can promise you that.If you're coming here to sit down and eat, don't expect anything fancy. Folding tables and canned drinks. Here, it's all about the meat, and frankly, that's all that matters when it's this good.“

“Food was delicious and priced reasonably. Had the rib tips plate. Yummy. The bbq sauce one of a kind, but oh so good.
So why the 4 star overall score? Service was awful. Misty was short, inattentive, acted like I was an inconvenience to her. Never offered a refill on my soda, but was in a hurry to offer a to go box. Yeah Misty I got the hint you wanted me to leave.“

“The atmosphere was nice but the food was not all that. The food at home is much better at our regular barbecue place. The peach cobbler was dry and the crust was super thick. We did not eat it. My husband had the coleslaw. He said the coleslaw was dry and the ribs were okay which is what he had. The service however, was wonderful. The two ladies that were up front were very friendly and very talkative“

“My mom didn't like her meat being overcooked, and she said the baked beans were almost cold. I enjoyed my plate!! You've got to keep my mom as a satisfied customer because she's the one who lives there. I love y'all!! That's why every time I choose "Dick Russell's" when I come for mom's and my lunch.“

“In my opinion, today’s food was awful. My grill quarters that I purchased as a take home meal was still pink on the inside as if it was rushed on the grill. They were out of a few items on menu. Lastly, what makes the taste of the chicken is the sauce that wasn’t even placed in the bag. I have had better but it was something about today. However, my son’s ribs in his opinion were burnt and just wasn’t good. I will return in hopes that the food is better.“
