The staff was extremely rude. My family, including 13 month old baby, were passing through the area on our way to the beach after being in the car for the last 3 hours. We stopped to pick up a bite and let the kids use the restroom. My big kids went to use the restroom while I waited in line to order. My teenage daughter said a man quickly knocked furiously at the door and motioned for her to leave. The only sign on the door was, “Bathrooms are for customers only,” and we are paying customers. I asked if I could change the baby in the restroom and another staff member said, “No, this whole area is closed.” I asked if I can just change the baby on the chairs and she said the whole area was closed for “renovation” and “don’t touch the walls because there was wet paint.” Now, I know I’m not a contractor, but I’ve painted a lot of walls in my day and I could tell you that paint was not freshly painted and it actually had scuff marks all over the walls. The woman reluctantly allowed me to change the baby on the chairs while other staff members mumbled under their breath that they would just change their baby in the car. I would have if it wasn’t raining furiously and our car wasn’t packed to the brim.

I always go to Church's when I'm in the mood for fried okra, but I am not home to cook them. My order, EVERY TIME, is a large okra fried hard. They're usually great, but this time they were disgusting. They were fried hard, alright, because they had been fried twice. Y'all know you can tell if something is fresh or refried. They were hard and dry, and they didn't put any salt on them. They got me in and out of the drive-thru line quickly, which should've been a red flag, because I usually have to wait. LESSON. LEARNED I won't be going back for a while. The cashier was great, though. She was friendly, polite, and had a smile on her face.

Walked in seen a thin female worker looked unkept as if she just got out of bed. Tried to dine in and they had a chair blocking the dining area , but we still asked if we could eat in the dining area and the other female worker said no that the dining area was closed. So we had to eat in our small car being that we are traveling and passing thru and while we were eating in our small car one of the employees was sitting in the dining area enjoy his food. Looked like there were plenty of workers at a quick glance I seen about 5 workers so not sure why the dining area was closed.

Tonight, 01/16/2025 was THE LAST time being a customer of this Church’s Chicken. This was their 3RD TIME and they have struck out. The chicken tasted just like th appearance of the outside/inside of the restaurant, well as the cook that fried it. I waited almost 15min in my car while they fixed fresh chicken. The chicken was fully greased, undercooked and looked like bad chicken. I ordered 3 pc and not one was done nor fresh. I started eating here in October of 2024 and the chicken was some of the best. The end of November is when I received my first bad batch. It was so bad til I didn’t revisit until December. 2nd bad batch. I tried the chicken sandwiches about 2 weeks ago and they were horrible. You’d rather purchase a McChicken from McDonald ls and be satisfied and yet tonight, 01/16 was the 3rd batch of bad chicken. From the staff to the appeal of this Location, I’d love to see them close down. Never again

I am normally a fan of Churches Chicken but my recent visit maybe my last one. I order my food, a 3pc combo and the chicken wasn't cooked all the way through on the breast and thigh.
I asked could I get it remade and was given attitude and excuses as why the chicken wasn't done. They gave me another breast and thigh and it still was not cooked all the way through. Instead going back to the front counter and speaking to an employee again, I just left
I worked fast food for 10 years so I understand the work and don't like to complain even if there is a problem but this just turned me off from going to Chruches ever again.

Chicken was HORRIBLE. I would NEVER go back to the Church’s at Broad St until I see a new staff. Today is the 28th of Dec, 2024 and i purchased 5pc of chicken, side of okra and mashed potatoes with 2 biscuits. Let’s just say The mashed potatoes was the only thing worth eating. I started eating from this location in Oct 2024. Chicken was always fresh and beyond good. My last visit was the beginning of December after my 2nd time getting bad chicken from them in that week. It’s like the cook who was cooking it, or cooks, are no longer employed here. The chicken tastes and looks as if it sits in flour a while now before frying. And truth to that assumption is that it’s been crunchy but breaded. I taste no chicken. Just crunch and flour. My okra tastes like crisp (Whatever that tastes like) and the customer service I wouldn’t even give it attention. That was my last visit and I’ll advise others not to unless u like breaded chicken that’s been sitting in flour for a long period. Now I see why the parking lot has been empty lately. Ridiculous
