A Memorable Evening at Dauphin’s

Dauphin’s delivered an unforgettable casual dining experience with one of the best views in Mobile. Perched high above the city, the restaurant overlooks downtown and the riverfront, offering a stunning backdrop that made the evening feel special from the moment we sat down. We even had a perfect vantage point to watch the Mardi Gras parade roll by, which added a fun and uniquely Mobile touch to the night.

The food was exceptional—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served with the kind of attention to detail you hope for in a place with this kind of reputation. The service was superb from start to finish. Every interaction felt warm, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our experience great.

Overall, it was a fantastic night out and absolutely worth it. Let’s just say I made some major points with my wife on this one. Dauphin’s is definitely a spot I’d recommend for anyone looking to pair great food with an unbeatable view and top-tier service.

We had dinner for two last evening in your restaurant and the entire experience was exquisite! In our phone call for a reservation I mentioned offhandedly that it was our first visit to the restaurant. About an hour before our arrival we had a call from a hostess, who wanted to let us know that certain roads would be closed and it might be busier because Mardi Gras parades - and she wanted to make sure that we could find parking. We then arrived about an hour before our reservation and the host and hostesses went out of their way to find us a place to sit for a drink while we waited and then accommodated us earlier than our proscribed reservation. The room, views, ambience, service and lighting was just magical. And the food - remarkable! Every course was a lesson for us in dishes that we thought we already knew. And the entire sequence was choreographed, sensitively, kindly and professionally by Dominique, who literally made our evening complete (Including recommendations of where to walk our dogs the next day in the city.) We cannot recommend your restaurant more highly and look forward to seeing you soon.

Went for my husband’s birthday yesterday. The views were amazing and the food was very good. Our waitress on the other hand was not attentive at all. While we did ask for a few extra minutes to look over the menu, I thought the 12-15 minutes was a bit too long.
Once our meal arrived, she never returned to inquire if we were enjoying our meal or wanted another beverage. Meanwhile, the table to our right behind us had a very attentive waiter. He was wonderful!
Needless to say, her tip (I did tip her) reflected her service.

Our 25th anniversary overlooking Mobile , watching the sun set from the 34th floor! Dinner was fabulous, our waiter Domo went above and beyond for us. Great food great ambiance!

We went for brunch. The food was delicious from shrimp and grits to banana french toast. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The views of Mobile and the bay are spectacular.

My party and I were excited to visit after reviewing the menu online, particularly looking forward to trying the cheese plate appetizer. However, when we inquired about it, our server asked if we had tried it before. We told him it was our first time dining with y'all, and he advised us against ordering it, describing it as “not worth it” and “disappointing,” and instead attempted to steer us toward other options we weren’t interested in. Ultimately, we opted just to enjoy the complimentary bread served with that delicious hibiscus butter.

Later in the evening, after we had already placed our entrée orders, our server returned with an assistant and showed us a cheese plate he was delivering to another table, presumably to demonstrate why he found it disappointing. To our surprise, it looked exactly as we had hoped and quite delicious to our eyes, but at that point, it was too late to order an appetizer, and we were genuinely disappointed to have been talked out of trying it ourselves.

That said, I want to highlight that our entrées were outstanding, beautifully cooked and flavorful. Additionally, the woman working at the hostess stand graciously took photos of our group on the way out and made us feel warmly welcomed. Her thoughtful service was a lovely way to end the evening and left a positive impression.

We dined in coming in from out of town and had an absolutely wonderful experience! To premise, we don't even like sea food, so we selected items on the menu that weren't this particular restaurants specialty, but even those dishes were phenomenal. The Atmosphere and view of the city is unparalleled (with fantastic and friendly service to boot), I definitely recommend this incredibly classy restaurant; 5 stars all around.
