Messiah's House

There's no denying that this is the "class act" dining destination of Mobile, from the beautiful view 34 stories high to the pianist playing light jazz during our Sunday brunch, no doubt they have alot to offer. Which is why I was so very disappointed to have the waitress reach over me to retrieve the bread basket as I was eating! Literally her armpit was at my nose while I was putting a bite of food into my mouth. So when I asked her if you must she replied in a sparky tone "yes I must" and did it a second time. I had expected them to have had better training than that. Otherwise our experience was perfectly delightful. The food was okay yet a good value for the price, with some creative combinations we enjoyed. When we do go back we'll avoid that light brown haired waitress and hope the others are properly trained and she was just learning.

I had a great time, the service and atmosphere were pleasant. My only thing are the small portions of food. Free parking, amazing view!

I can not say enough great things about this place! If you are in Mobile, this is a MUST! I got the Limon fresh fish ( I can not remember the fish I got, I went with our server's recommendation) this dish was AMAZING! My husband got the prime ribeye and said it was the best steak he has had in YEARS! Service was superior, drinks were well balanced and delicious and our thank you surprise at the end of the meal!

This is my third visit here, once for a sponsored event, once for company lunch and first time for dinner. I wanted to take my husband and son for a new fine dining experience, so we made reservations and prepped accordingly. We adhered to the dress code (suits, jackets, etc) but to my surprise, this is not enforced. The table next to us had a couple with no collared shirt for the male and the lady was wearing jean cut off booty shorts. Meanwhile, the table behind us insisted on watching videos on their phone with the volume at max so I got to hear Staying Alive and other 70s songs from a phone rather than the wonderful musician on the piano. I know I can't dictate what others do; it was just so distracting to the ambiance of fine dining. Our server, Ken, was great and was attentive. The food was not up to par for the pricing. The appetizer cheese plate was some of the same cheese we buy at Publix, the blue cheese and Manchego particularly. The crackers served with it were stale, very disappointing. The prime ribeye was not worth the price; I wish they would have put it on a grill, it doesn't seem like it got hot enough but it was cooked medium rare as requested. The asparagus was not warm enough and the parmesan on top never melted even slightly, maybe the parmesan was cold or the asparagus or both. The two fish plates were good as whole dishes although they almost seemed like the same dish we two different fish on top of the rice. Fish was cooked perfectly, rice was cooked well, spinach and other veggies were cooked well too. The dishes lack that something special that makes you want to say "Mmmmm, that's delicious" when you have the first bite rather than "It's good." In comparison to other fine dining experiences, this was not great, but the view from the 34th doesn't disappoint. We will not go back for dinner but maybe for lunch or brunch.

I had an amazing experience dining here for birthday. Kevin was really pleasant, friendly and accommodating. My server Monica was really sweet. The food and drinks were really good and that happy birthday bonus at the end was just icing on the cake to an awesome dinner.

Frank and I had a wonderful experience here. We celebrated Valentine day on the 37th floor at Dauphins. We sit at the chefs table in the kitchen overlooking the city of Mobile downtown Mobile.

We always have a fantastic experience here. The service is impeccable, the food is delicious and the drinks are tasty! The happy hour menu at the bar area is severely underrated. The Sunday jazz brunch is a personal favorite that I can’t recommend enough. It’s well worth the visit.
