We ordered the Shrimp and oyster po boys, the batter was perfect and the shrimp and oysters were perfection. I've had my share of po boys, and these are by far the best so far. Definitely a place I'll be going back to.

The poboys come with a huge side of cleavage which compliments the dish in a way unlike any other poboy restaurant.

Debris is a great little bar and restaurant. Food was fresh, but limited menu options. The meatball (12in) was a lot of food for one person. White chocolate bread pudding was amazing. The dessert menu was very small but all amazing choices. The service was top notch and they kept our drinks topped off all night.

We decided to pop into Debris for a late lunch on a Saturday. We had a bowl with cheese grits and blackened shrimp. A BBQ shrimp pistolette. And a large gumbo. I don't usually write unfavorable reviews. However, I feel like it's fair to give other diners a heads up.The grits and collard greens in the bowl were ok. But the blackened shrimp was salty with really no other flavor. The pistolette was supposed to have BBQ shrimp. There was zero flavor. I am not sure if there was supposed to be a sauce that was missing. But the shrimp didn't even have a shrimp flavor. It was quite disappointing. We doused it with hot sauce but then it tasted just of hot sauce. The gumbo was ok. The portion was about 8 ounces for the large, which was disappointing. We had planned to share the pistolette and gumbo between two diners. The service was average. They were nice enough. They didn't offer any drink refills until we were paying our bill. The atmosphere was nice enough. It was clean. Nothing special.

Best po boys on the gulf coast. Bartender sounds like McConaughey.

The inspirational adventure

I had originally walked in and walked out of this place the day before, but it wasn’t a whole lot of options on a Sunday evening so I wandered in. I didn’t see a whole lot of selection on the menu so I ordered whatever the bartender recommended. It was super fresh bread with crawfish in sauce and it was really good. I also got the gumbo, which was the best I’ve had in Mobile. Kind of expensive for what it was but I guess everything is around there.

Solid meal and very friendly staff. Certainly not a destination in my opinion but solid choice if in the general vicinity.

Got a soft shell crab po' boy, which was delicious, and an old fashioned. The service was great, and the establishment was clean.

Food was great but quite overpriced. Paid $80 for 2 people to have lunch and a drink each.

Very tasty cochon de lait, and my dad liked the oysters Rockefeller. You'll need to be pretty hungry for the footlong po'boys.

Man, I love Debris. I'd go there for the bar alone or the food alone, but having both so good really makes it kind of unique in the area. Usually I'd recommend a specific dish, but they're all just so good. Maybe start with boudin balls or a soft shell crab poboy. IYKYK.

I was in town for work and stumbled upon this place. So glad I did!!!Warm and inviting. Kayla the bartender was amazing. She knew the food, drinks and the local knowledge of the bar and its history. The Shrimp Po Boy was the best I have ever had. The shrimp was grilled to perfection and the bread was amazing! Kayla mentioned the bread was from a bakery in New Orleans and you could tell!! On my list for sure when I am back in town for work!!!
