Bartender was nice. Had a good Joe Cain pizza and a few beers. Very enjoyable. Met a nice lady from Upstate New York. 2nd visit not as good. Lady took my order and then her shift was over. So I'm waiting for my order and 20 minutes later I asked for my check because she didn't turn it in. The new lady talked me into staying. Put in my order and it was ready fast. Was good. But ruined my experience and I won't be back. So make sure they aren't in between shifts.

Tried to go here to eat. Sat at the bar at 8:45 pm (they close at 11). Bartender look at me, walked to the pass of the kitchen, and then proceeded to have a five minute conversation with whoever was back there.
Went to the Loda Bier Garten down the street and ate.

We visited Joe Cain Cafe a couple of times on our recent trip to Mobile. It is one of the few places open 7 days a week and open late in downtown Mobile. The food was really good with the crab artichoke dip and Joe Cain pizza being some of the best. My wife also enjoyed the mocktail the bar whipped up for her. We brought our child with us the second night and they were so sweet to her which I loved. I’d definitely recommend visiting if you need a late-night meal.
Awesome food!

The hot crab and artichoke dip was delicious. It was a large portion and was piping hot. The staff were friendly and our waitress took the time to chat with my party for a little bit. Was very satisfied with my experience.

As my daughter’s regional trampoline and tumbling meet came to a close many families raved about Joe Cain Cafe we were on our way back to our hotel room, and stumbled across the purple awning of the cafe! We sat ourselves and were quickly greeted. My daughter and I ordered a caprese pizza with chicken and a bowl of gumbo. Both were very tasty! I had a blackberry old fashioned that was lovely. We enjoyed the quaint Mardi Gras themed atmosphere. Overall, when we are back in town we will definitely be back!

Good place to hang out.. Good time! Team had fun here..
Salads were good, but the sandwiches were underwhelming. Especially for the price. Food came out fast and waitress was attentive.

We went on a Thursday about 6:00 p.m., the place was pretty much empty. Service was excellent. We ordered a meatball sub and the half chicken entree which came with greens, mashed potatoes, and a cold hard roll. I also ordered a mimoso. The mimosa was horrible, definitely do not recommend it. I think it was a combination of lousy orange juice and cheap champagne, perhaps. Not sure. Hubby said his meatball sub was very good. My chicken entree gets mixed reviews - the chicken was quite tasty, but really needed to be cooked another 5 to 7 minutes. It was pretty much done, but not really done. There was quite a bit of pink close to the bone. The outer part that I felt comfortable eating was very good. Had it been falling off-the-bone done and the skin crisped up for a couple of minutes under the broiler, it would have been absolutely outstanding! I ate some of it and brought the rest home to finish cooking for leftovers. The mashed potatoes were very good. The greens, meh. Green beans might be a better option. Overall, it was a pretty good dining experience with excellent service.
We dropped in on Thursday about 6:00 p.m., picked a great time - the place was practically empty. Service was very good, my mimosa was horrible - I think it was a combination of horrible orange juice and horrible champagne. We ordered a meatball sub and a half chicken entree that came with greens, mashed potatoes, and a cold hard roll. The mashed potatoes were quite good, the chicken tasted good. If it had been cooked all the way through and put under the broiler for three or four minutes to crisp up the skin it would have been absolutely excellent! Because it wasn't quite cooked through it was hard to cut, but it was very tasty. I brought the rest of it home with me to pop in the microwave to finish cooking it for leftovers later. Wasn't too thrilled about the greens, but I'm not really a greens person.
We went here for a late dinner. The food was good but nothing spectacular & the service friendly. However the wait was quite long
Overall the experience was fine
Loud atmosphere
Everything we got was so yummy. My husband got the nachos and he really enjoyed it, he said they were one of the best nachos he has had. They’re not your traditional nachos with the cheese sauce but they are very yummy. I got the Italian panini on focaccia and it was very yummy only thing I would of wanted different would of been pesto on it but overall it was very yummy and we will definitely be back to try other stuff!! Service was really great. Lady with short auburn hair was super nice and helpful!
