As my daughter’s regional trampoline and tumbling meet came to a close many families raved about Joe Cain Cafe we were on our way back to our hotel room, and stumbled across the purple awning of the cafe! We sat ourselves and were quickly greeted. My daughter and I ordered a caprese pizza with chicken and a bowl of gumbo. Both were very tasty! I had a blackberry old fashioned that was lovely. We went on a Thursday about 6:00 p.m., the place was pretty much empty. Service was excellent. We ordered a meatball sub and the half chicken entree which came with greens, mashed potatoes, and a cold hard roll. I also ordered a mimoso. The mimosa was horrible, definitely do not recommend it. I think it was a combination of lousy orange juice and cheap champagne, perhaps. Not sure. Hubby said his meatball sub was very good. My chicken entree gets mixed reviews - the chicken...
Everything we got was so yummy. My husband got the nachos and he really enjoyed it, he said they were one of the best nachos he has had. They’re not your traditional nachos with the cheese sauce but they are very yummy. I got the Italian panini on focaccia and it was very yummy only thing I would of wanted different would of been pesto on it but overall it was very yummy and we will definitely be back to try other stuff!! Service was really great. Lady with short auburn hair...
