Sushi 9 Thai & Japanese Restaurant

I ordered general tso chicken and house fried rice. For two medium plates it was $40. Everything was old and hard to chew. For that price you need to at least use fresh ingredients.

The best sushi ever, they are so nice and funny. They always gave me some amazing candy with my meal too.

Everyone is so sweet. I always enjoy their egg rolls and the tempura battered veggies. So good and fresh. I don't feel the same about the sushi. I ordered the chi-town sushi and I promise you it was nothing but a California roll with 1/2 teaspoon of salmon and an 1/8 of a teaspoon of fish eggs over the entire, thin cut, 8-10 piece roll. I don't think it was worth the $18 I paid for it. I noted it and didn't say anything because they served what they wanted me to have. So noted.

Exceptional restaurant. I come here every time i want good sushi for a reasonable price. Sushi 9 never fails to come through with delicious sushi, thai, and japanese food.

I had the pad thai. My husband had the Pho. Both were fabulous.

Awesome spot for authentic and delicious Thai food as well as other Asian dishes! Their sushi is awesome and consistently good. My personal favorite is their house fried rice that’s plenty for 2.

Tried this place awhile back and the sushi was good but nothing exceptional. It is quite overpriced compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. The quality and amount vs the price you pay for it is imbalanced. Service was just ok. It felt quite cramped but well decorated. We had 3 rolls (between the two of us) and there still wasn’t enough to get full all the way.

If you pay cash, be sure to pay attention to the data on their receipt. I paid cash and they also charged the credit card fee. I found out when I got home. that the yellow curry had no taste, the baby corn in it was inedible and hard, there were five very small shrimps, and the food was very bland.

Service was great. They had a special roll called the crazy Cajun and it was by far the best roll I've ever had. The shrimp roll which is an appetizer and is not a sushi roll, was amazing and I could eat them by the dozen.

The food came out looked amazing! Got ready to dig in and a long piece of hair was in my food! I let the server know they replaced my food but it was nothing like the first plate! Meaning the amount of shrimp in scallops that were in there.

This is my all time favorite restaurant! I have been coming here since I was a teenager. The food doesn't taste anything like the 500 other Chinese restaurants in Mobile and even though I've moved to Birmingham it was the first place I stopped when I came into town. I honestly can't say enough great things about this restaurant.
