Our order was partially wrong and it took FOREVER. Our kids were screaming crying and our waitress was honestly doing everything she could (we still left her a nice tip). But as my wife was having to get up and escort a couple of crying kids home before she was even able to eat, a man who had been walking around asking how people were doing (and I presume was the owner) walked over and chose his words very ignorantly by saying to me “well, it’s Mardi Gras” and walked off. Not a lot of class in my book.

Food is amazing, service is great. Prices are higher during Mardi Gras and a built in gratuity which is not disclosed was a bit of a surprise. However it was well worth it. We had a group of 5 and our bill post their gratuity was over 200 for lunch.

Delicious food and and the staff was amazing. As we were getting ready to go, the owner came over to see how everything was and offered dessert. We all said we were good and he told us about the bread pudding, then got us some on the house. Was amazing. As soon as we got back home, we had to try and replicate it, unsuccessfully. Would recommend to anyone.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and we were able to sit by the window, and that was the best part of our visit, that is why I gave atmosphere five stars. The service was not good. Our friends were splitting a plate for dinner and my husband and I were as well. We had appetizers, so we all had small plates already. Before the waitress brought our entrées, she asked if we had to have dinner plates or if we could just use the small plates because she did not want to have to carry a tray. She literally said that. We asked for the extra two dinner plates. We had to ask to get refills on our drinks, she never offered. There were only two other people dining at the time. They were not busy at all. We all ordered the shrimp Oliver for dinner, thinking it sounded delicious, shrimp and pasta with a buttery garlic sauce. The shrimp were just frozen shrimp, not fresh gulf shrimp at all, they were small and overcooked, the pasta, seemed as if it had just been boiled and put on the plate. If there was a butter garlic sauce, we did not see/taste it at all. It was tasteless. Honestly, we should have sent it back, but we were having fun visiting our friends and just didn’t want to fool with it and have to re-order. We all had salads and they were good. We ordered the fried mushrooms as one of our appetizers, and they tasted as if they have been previously cooked, and just heat it up. They were not fresh. We have eaten here many times, and it has been much better than this. I don’t know if we will ever go there again. Also, the table was so sticky. I would suggest a good cleaning.

I visit MOB often from Slidell and decided to venture out and try this spot. Clean and friendly service. The fried green tomatoes were amazing, and my Husband enjoyed his crab cakes. We also enjoyed talking with Mr. B! Very nice and genuine man who shared a wealth of information.
