The rooms were just ok. Nothing spectacular. No restaurant or bar. We walked to get food.

Was driving from Texas to Alabama. After driving for 12 hours, decided to get a room for the night. Checked to see what was closest holiday inn to me on my phone, this is what came up and showed me price of 117. So I hit directions and went. But when I got there the price was 40.00 higher and gentleman a the desk told me I should have checked in online to get that price. Hard to do when your driving. But I was tired and there, so next time I will pull off and book online I guess.Room was nice, newly remodeled. Entry door needs to be fixed, you had to push it to the side to close, hinges not tight so door falls to the side when opened. And maybe look into higher toilets, for a older person like me with bad knees, toilets are very low.

It’s still under renovation and the lobby itself is so cramped up, which spoils the impression. The rooms are well maintained but the ventilation system sucks! It’s so loud and disturbing to stay in the room. The whole time I was there I had to use ear plugs to sleep. And it’s the same case with almost all the rooms. Better to avoid until they complete the whole renovation process.Rooms: Clean and spacious enough but too noisy and decades old ventilation system which keeps you up in the night!Nearby activities: A lot of things to do in the downtown areaWalkability: Close to the downtown area, restaurants and pubs.

Ruined a brand new suit by staying here. Stayed here a couple years ago, and still cannot get the musty smell out of my suit despite multiple dry cleanings.

As a reviewer I have to give my experience during my stay.I visited during their renovations and after a downtime. We did not have any hot water nor TV signal. We brought this to the attention of the front desk staff and she was very helpful and professional however the problem was over her head.My formal review is that the staff was great however the management should have chosen to keep the hotel closed until all problems were solved. We had a two night stayed and canceled the second night. Staff understood and we were not charged for any cancelation fee.Hotel has alot going for it and I hope it has grown since then.Walkability: Near many mobile staples.

While the hotel is still under renovation in the public areas, the rooms have all recently been redone. They are beautifully decorated but the blackout window shades are about an inch short so you are greeted early in the morning with bright light, negating the blackout feature. The room is large but the bathroom is not, it barely fit one person comfortably, while standing at the sink you are almost touching the toilet. The shower is very narrow with only one little corner wire shelf for the soap - where does the shampoo, razors, washcloth, etc go? And then my biggest pet peeve of all is the lack of foot rest so you can shave your legs in the shower. Even lower tier Springhill Suites have these in their new or remodeled hotels. The hotel looks beautiful but the experience was not, probably wouldn’t be back

This hotel’s website was misleading. It is under construction and has no restaurant and no vending machines! We arrived a bit early and the moldy smell greeted us as soon as we opened the front door. The walk to the front desk was surrounded by raw drywall. The front desk was in a makeshift room and didn't look like a lobby at all. The pictures on the website was NOT as the hotel looked when I arrived. This was VERY misleading. In addition, the website stated there was a restaurant in the hotel and there wasn't. This is quite an issue as we were two women traveling alone. Also, there were no vending machines in the hotel. I've never been in a hotel with no vending machines. The next morning of our stay, we were awakened to an announcement saying all guests were to evacuate the hotel. We evacuated down the stairs (which my sister had a very hard time with) only to find out that it was a false alarm. The front desk representative told us that they made another announcement that it was a false alarm. That was not the truth as we heard nothing the entire time we were slowly walking down the stairs. The employees made no attempt to apologize and no reparation was suggested. This was the worst stay I've had in a hotel in over 30 years. I was ready to leave and go to another hotel but I'd paid a very high $546 for a two night stay. All of that for a hotel with no services whatsoever. Our stay was Jan 29 – 31st 2024

The hotel is under renovation so the entrance will be on the side street but the room is new and clean.Public parking is down the block like a 2-minute walk for $10/night.Our room was at the corner with two side views which was nice!

Stayed during renovations and plan on staying again once reservations are completed! Great location with a quiet, luxury feel and exceptional character. There was ample paid parking nearby and several great food and beverage options within walking distance. The only concerns were the odd almost cheap perfume type smells in my room and the pungent chemical/rancid smell coming from the water. I'm sure these things can be easily remedied once the major renovations are done. Other than that I stayed here as a solo female traveler with no issues.
