We don't often eat steak at a restaurant; however, Royal Scam is the one exception. I had the special ribeye which was perhaps the best steak I have eaten this year, absolutely outstanding. Perfect temperature and seasoning. My wife opted for the filet, which was also first class. Bartender George is a master of his craft, try his Cosmopolitan martini or his Old Fashioned, they are truly wonderful. The friendliest restaurant in Mobile and our favorite.
Outstanding restaurant. Ate here for the first time in the heart of downtown Mobile. Unassuming exterior but great atmosphere inside, excellent service and outstanding food. Can’t recommend it high enough. I would give it six stars if I could. I had the filet mignon, which was cooked perfect! The sides, fingerling potatoes and asparagus were delicious. Each time I come to town, I try to make time to have dinner at the Royal Scam. The food is delicious. My favorite is the short rib, but this time I tried the redfish entree which was outstanding. And of course, the bread pudding is a must have!
