My mom and I visited the Ruby Slipper for brunch one morning while on vacation in Mobile. The first thing I can tell you about this restaurant is that it is LOUD! The food is also good but not great, I had pancakes and bacon and mom had the Little Easy(1 pancake, eggs and bacon. Our server was nice but seemed a bit rushed. Overall, I think a visit to Bob's would have been better!

1st time eating here and it was a pleasant experience. We didn't have to wait long to be seated and our server was great at recommendations for our meal. I opted for the shrimp n grits add cheese which was delicious. Great vibe for a fun brunch.

The Buddha Bowl had ok flavor, but the chorizo made it a bit too spicy. I tried some of my wife’s bacon with the Buddha Bowl and it tasted much better. That was what I would do next time. Sorry Hannah bacon beats chorizo. Great service.

I've been here twice before and I had no problems with my food but I decided to do a mobile order and came exactly on time but my food wasn't fresh at all. I ordered sweet hot chicken special and its taste great every time so I can tell this time it tasted like it was made a hour ago. There was a longer wait time because of extra customers from Mardi gras so it was more disappointing to wait longer for food that wasn't fresh.

It was a yummy breakfast we had catfish and grits and the three tacos with chorizo and pork. Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend parking is kind of a pain since it's downtown. It's also paid parking and the bloody Mary was good not spicy enough for me, but the taste was good and the iced coffee with Irish cream was delicious.

Let me just say, I was very excited to eat here. We were seated in a timely manner by a very friendly hostess, great with no problems. It took maybe around 10 minutes to get our waiter to actually show up to our table to order drinks. We order drinks, appetisers, and our entrees. It takes around 10 more minutes to get our drinks, fine whatever. The food shows up maybe 20 minutes later and we eat. At this point, our drinks were not refilled and we haven’t seen our waiter in almost 30 minutes. We’re watching him walk around and check his other tables, but not us. When he eventually DOES come to check on us, I reorder another coffee and he drops it on the table and walks off without another word. The food was okay at best, and the coffee was subpar. Honestly, I wasn’t impressed with the service nor the food this time around, and I’m not sure if I’ll come back to this location again.

Unfortunately cold bacon! Ordered the Pig Candy Bacon Bites and they came out cold with all the sugar congealed :( The Peach Bellini on the other hand was killer! Service was good for a crowded Sunday but COLD bacon ruined the meal.
