Food: Caprese salad with burrata and heirloom tomatoes—when will I learn?—heirloom tomatoes sound so delicious and are so disappointingly mushy and tasteless—these were no exception. My advice—if you see heirloom tomatoes on a menu—skip them. And the current fascination with burrata is puzzling—a caprese salad is best with fresh mozzarella—burrata is too mushy for this purpose. Entree was tasty tenderloin medallions with gnocchi and asparagus—ok! Service: personable and professional even so late at night. The waitress was most attentive which I appreciated. Had an interesting conversation with her. She was saying that there were very few patrons which was extremely unusual for a Saturday night. I was surprised since when I reserved on Open Table, there were no reservations between 5:15 and 8:30 pm which would indicate a fully booked restaurant. Wonder how many patrons didn't come because of that A glitch in the system? Maybe management should take a look. Ambience: Well, disappointing. A beautiful room architecturally in a historic hotel, but with the panache of a tacky cafeteria. Where were the white table cloths, flowers and little lamps? And why were the chandeliers on full bright instead of dimmed for fine dining? Value: An expensive meal with mushy tomatoes in a tacky cafeteria atmosphere. Sigh.
Chose this location for a special family gathering. Brunch was excellent as were the tasty drinks. Only hick-up was the wait staff was a little thin but they handled the situation very well. Highly recommended!!
A very welcome and comfortable atmosphere. Our hostess and waitress were top notch. The food was good .
Complimentary valet parking is a plus with downtown dining! The Chef is passionate about his craft delivering delicious food. Cocktails were even better.
The environment was very nice. I had the lasagna it was okay the cheese was very thick I wouldn't order it again. This was mines as well as the other people I was with first time and we enjoyed ourselves.
Beautiful dining area. Food was very well prepared and tasty. We had oatmeal, grits, omlet and breakfast hash. All served quickly. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Quality and service made this expereince of exceptional value for the cost.
Me and my boyfriend came to celebrate our anniversary and we were overall disappointed with the service we received. We had an 8 pm reservation and arrived early expecting to wait in the lobby till our reservation. They sat us right away which was very kind, after being seated we were not greeted for 23 minutes and we had to flag someone down to get our server. While we waited for waters we watched a birthday party being set up, get waters, and orders in before we even were able to get a server to look our way. We contemplated leaving multiple times but kept waiting because we had heard the food was good. I would normally have understanding for this if the restaurant was busy but there was only three other groups in the restaurant. When we were finally greeted and brought water we just went ahead and ordered everything since we had plenty of time to figure out the menu and knew they probably wouldn’t be back to our table until the dishes were ready. The food was okay but not at all worth the price point. While our server was very nice we once again had to flag him down to get the check to leave. The restaurant itself was small and cute but had no music playing leaving the room feeling awkward with the sounds of the bar karaoke being the only thing you could hear in the distance. We won’t be returning here but if you do go the only dish I really enjoyed was the risotto balls.

My husband and I went last night for our anniversary and had a fantastic time. Rachel was our waitress and took such great care of us. She had great recommendations and answered all of our questions. We started the meal off with the arancini and focaccia. My husband got the lasagna and I got the wild mushroom fettuccine with scallops. We finished our meal off with tiramisu which the restaurant gave on the house for our anniversary. The music was wonderful and the atmosphere made for the perfect date night spot. Will definitely be back and will be recommending to people in the future.
Rachel was our server. She was the only server working that night. We never waited for anything. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner. I would highly recommend enjoying an evening at The Trellis Room.
This is by far my favorite brunch place. I only have two things I do not like about the Trellis Room. Number one Brunch starts at 11:00 am however, the doors do not open until 11:15-11:30am. Number two, I do not like how you are attacked by flies during your meal. Other than those two complains, the food is AMAZING!! I had my 25th Birthday brunch here and Chef Sofia and the staff made my birthday brunch such a successful. The went above and beyond to make me, my family, and friends enjoy our celebration.

The experience was better than could be imagined.....the ambience is superb, the decor charming and warm.....oh.....and the bread is the best bread I've ever had in my life! Seriously life altering! I believe it to be a form of herb fococcia.....the only thing I'd change is the dessert menu.....cheesecake is so over used everywhere.....while this one is clearly housemade I personally believe the cheesecake fad should end. The ice cream on the other hand.....phenomenal. Really wish my homemade icecream could be as good....maybe they should offer a goat cheese incecream as well. That could be just as delicious!
We had a beautiful experience at the Trellis Room. Our server, Rachel was lovely, and she made many great recommendations. My husband and I both enjoyed our cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
We went for brunch in hopes it was going to be great but, the food was very mid. The menu was also didn't really have a lot of variety. It was hard to really decide what to get because nothing sounded good or looked appetizing. Our waiter was great and attentive, but there are better brunches out there.
My husband and I ate here and are super disappointed! The whole restaurant is empty on a Friday night. It took a while to be served water with the whole restaurant being empty. We ordered the mushroom pasta and short ribs. The pasta had good flavor but the short ribs were horrible. They tasted like a tv dinner. When the server took it away, she came back and told us that “they tried a new type of short rib and it was a no go”. If it was a no go, why was this served to us? It was horrible. Dry and not tender at all.The drinks were good but overall not worth it. They also don’t have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options which is also a bad move on their part and very short sighted.

We went for Sunday brunch on our anniversary weekend. I think I expected something a little more upscale as far as setting and ambience. First of all, I was thinking there would be a trellis and at least some view of the outdoors. There isn't. Only outdoors you can see is if you look up through the skylight. The room itself is pretty small. The chairs are worn and stained. There was no tablecloth or place mat. So nothing special about the table setting. If you are just looking for a good breakfast it's fine but was hoping for more given the reputation of the house and the other reviews I read. The brisket hash was really good but doesn't even include toast or a biscuit apparently.
