Make a reservation as this place is popular. It's tucked into a strip mall where you generally don't find great restaurants. The menu changes seasonally. Be sure to try the house salad with fried goat cheese. It's 10 steps above what you normally get in a house salad. The coconut pound cake actually tasted like toasted coconut and not some kind of chemical artifical coconut flavoring.

La Jolla is an excellent local seafood restaurant with superb food and service in an intimate, classy setting. Approximate for business dinners and celebrations. With the closing of Jubilee, La Jolla is now the best seafood place in Montgomery.Full bar.

We checked this place out first night we moved to town and I gotta say it was tasty...there's some real unique menu items here and the staff is friendly. I usually gotta get my steak but the salmon here is off the charts too!!

Went here for my birthday. Recommended by a coworker. Nice place, small and intimate. Tastefully decorated. The service was fantastic. We had the calamari for a starter. I ordered the blackened gulf swordfish with crawfish ettouffe and basmati rice. It was good and had some heat. I would guess habanero powder/salt. He had the wagyu picanha steak with fries. For dessert, the chocolate cake with salted carmel sauce. Everything was very good. I already know what I am going to order next time.

My wife and I normally have reservations on Friday night for dinner, but unfortunately we had to cancel due to unforeseen events, my wife called to cancel a little after 3:00 for a 7:00 reservation. She was greeted by Damian who immediately hung up on her after she said she was calling to cancel. We spend about $200 dollars each time we dine including tip.

Great atmosphere. Small restaurant. Good wait staff. The tuna nachos were good. The grouper pan seared over a Parmesan risotto was bland to me. I would have replaced the risotto with grilled or steamed veggies. The banana Foster's cheesecake was yummy for dessert. Dinner for two, two glasses of wine, and splitting an appetizer and dessert will cost around $140 with tip. You'll get a kiss afterwards. ;)

The ambience in the restaurant was very warm and cozy. The food was good as well. We tried their Burger and the wagyu picanha steak which was perfectly cooked to our liking. Not so impressed by their cocktails though. We tried their cheesecake which was pretty good as well.

We absolutely love it, we go there every year of our anniversary and the staff are amazing, the food is wonderful and just the amount of time the staff spend to get to know there guests, I can't say enough about this place. The food is always spot on, never have had a bad dish. The ambiance is beautiful, calming, and we really enjoy how it's a small setting. My husband has Parkinson's, and everyone there is so attentive to what we may need. We will always go there. I give it 10 stars if I could.

Food and service were fantastic. We had the tuna nachos, burger, blackened swordfish and two different streaks. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be going back soon.
