Had the French toast, it was delicious! The eggs Benedict was also so good. The eggs were slightly firm but the owner noticed and offered to remake it. Some of the best service I've had in Montgomery!

This place is amazing, i recently found them for a cake for an event. Went back the next day for brunch and the enjoyed it thoroughly. The owners are pleasant and make you feel at home.

Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new local spot, even though they've been here 35 years.

As a military member who has traveled and eaten at restaurants around the world, today I had quite possibly the worst experience ever. What makes it even more sad is this restaurant has been around for years; it’s not like they’ve been in business for a week and don’t understand customer service.
I arrived at 11 am to place a to-go order, and there was only one table who placed their order before mine. My order was nothing cosmic; in fact, it was straight off the menu except for “holding the mayo” on one of the sandwiches…two fried green tomato BLTs and two bonbons. I paid (and even tipped) for basically ordering at the counter. I did receive the two bonbons right away because they were already available in the bakery.
Then I sat and waited…and waited…and waited; you get the idea. More patrons arrived and were seated. They ordered drinks and food; the dining room was filling up. And still, I waited. After 30 minutes, I went back up to the counter to ask when the order would be ready and didn’t really receive a clarifying response other than a shrug and we’re working on it. I sat back down…and waited.
In the following 10 minutes, I saw customers who arrived well after me receive their plates of food. There was meatloaf, salads, and other sandwiches being served. Finally, my patience having been worn thin, I went up to the counter and politely asked for a refund unless the food was ready for me to take. It was not. I was told “we are short staffed” as the reason why four pieces of bread, some bacon, and a couple fried green tomatoes could not be produced in 40 minutes. They begrudgingly gave me a refund, but did keep their tip.
In the words of Gordon Ramsey…”what a shame!” It was my first visit to Shashys and will also be my last.

The cream cheese brownie and coffee with lots of cream is so very delicious together 😋the service is amazing and it's beautiful here 💕 Thank you Shashy's for the welcome vibes and I'm looking forward to coming back here to eat.

Oh my goodness the food is delicious and desserts are the best . The customer service is great Angel helped us she is super nice and her customer service skills are the best. We are going to be adding to our monthly place to go out on lunch date, It was very good to have fresh vegetables . The catfish was fried with perfection.

Thank you again Angel and the owner is very kind he even wish my hubby a happy birthday thank you for the great hospitality.

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!! WHY DID MY WIFE AND I WAIT SO LONG TO COME BACK?!?!? LIVING IN THE WOODS UP ABOVE ECLECTIC SOMEWHERE AROUND LAKE MARTIN WILL NEVER BE A GOOD EXCUSE AGAIN!!! THE HAMBURGER FOR OUR GRANDDAUGHTER IN LAW, THE FRIED SHRIMP AND OYSTERS FOR OUR GRANDSON, THE VEGETABLE PLATE FOR MY BELOVED WIFE, AND THE FRIED CHICKEN BREAST SANDWICH FOR YOURS TRULY WAS FIVE STARS!!! AND THE SERVICE FROM THE KITCHEN TO THE PASTRY/DESSERT COUNTER, TO OUR BEAUTIFUL WAITRESS ARI, WAS DEFINITELY FIVE STARS AS WELL!!! A MAGNIFICENT CULINARY DELIGHT!!! CANT WAIT TO COME BACK!!! I travel in for business and have been by the building before but usually when they are closed. I happened to be in town for lunch and stopped. The menu looking really good making it a little difficult to decide, but ultimately went with the Market Vegetable plate with meatloaf. The veggies were very fresh, not overly seasoned, and the meatloaf was great with fresh tomatoes, unlike any I’ve had before. I hope to catch a dinner and sample more options on the menu.

Food was delicious! I’m a salmon snob and I have only great things to say about the salmon salad! My kids enjoyed their hamburgers and each commented on the yummy homemade buns. The service was TOP NOTCH! Owner came out to chat and was a great host with the staff. They even sent us on the road with DELICIOUS chocolate chip cookies. This kind of service leaves a great taste in one’s mouth, both literally and figuratively!

This place is wonderful! Cute patio, great vibe inside, amazing pastries and food with real love! Decent prices too for the food you get. Amazing Rueben sandwhich and all their food looked sooooo good! Parking is tight but we found a spot quick! The staff here was also so so sweet, if Im ever back in the area I'm absolutely coming back!
