The food quality was really good, but the service was sub par. The staff seemed very lazy and uninterested in providing a quality experience, especially with the menu prices. Took quite a while to recieve our food, all we had was burgers and wings. Probably won't be back. Some may like it though. It's a sports bar, so the atmosphere is good.
Recently, I and another guest, enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at WalkOn, so much so that I later told my wife I thought it might be a nice place for us to visit. Upon my return a couple of days ago, I decided to order from take-out the shrimp/bacon appetizers that I had raved about and wanted my wife to try. We had already eaten lunch but I was excited for her to try them. I had to wait awhile before someone arrived to the take out area to take my order. While waiting, a server passed me, looked my way and never acknowledged me as she walked by. I thought that was very rude of any employee that would have passed me seeing that I was sitting alone with no employee assisting me. While ordering my food, another server stood right next to me, never greeting me and a third server came by without greeting or asking if I had been helped. As I awaited my order, the manager, Donald, passed by and asked if I had been “greeted”. I said, “I’ve been helped but not greeted”. I then shared my experience with the 3 servers. Donald’s response was, “Well, you know sometimes people just be in their feelings”, which I thought was certainly an improper and unprofessional response from a manager. As we stood there discussing the situation, one of the 3 servers passed by and I mentioned to Donald that that was one of the servers and he never even turned around to see who it was nor did he ever apologize for his workers’ behavior, instead he made excuses for them. Later, I received my order and in driving away, still highly disappointed with the overall experience, I actually stopped the car and called the restaurant back to obtain a corporate number to file a complaint which when I spoke with Donald again, he was unable to provide a number for me. My wife was able to obtain a number on the Internet while I was on the phone with Donald. The following day, I was able to leave a message on 2 different extensions and to date have not heard from anyone. I am unaware of who the owners are but I learned that Chris Porcelli is the CEO and from my understanding most CEOs are interested in learning the good experiences as well as the bad experiences from their customers so that they can improve their services and provide consistent quality service and products for their customers. I hope to hear from someone soon.

I recommend this restaurant to my classmates since I had been to several of the Louisiana locations and loved them. My group arrived 30 minutes before the start of the NBA finals game one and didn’t get seated until 30 minutes after the game started even though half the restaurant was empty. They decided that karaoke should take up the bar area even though no one was singing and everyone there wanted to watch the game. Our waiter seem lost and it took over 30 minutes for our first round of drinks to arrive at our table. The bar seemed to be under staffed to accommodate the demand for beverages. We never even saw a manager walk around the restaurant. By far the worst experience at a walk on’s. Brees should investigate this location because it is giving his reputation a bad name.

Very friendly staff, I’m not into sports but I was staying across the street at a hotel and needed some where to go for a meal. The Tuna Bowl was surprisingly good!

LAST WEEK: Genesis was hands down the BEST server we’ve ever had at Walk-On’s. From the moment we sat down, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I’m a very inquisitive person and had a lot of questions and special requests, but she never once made it feel like an inconvenience. She was patient, insightful, helpful, and genuinely positive the entire experience.
Not only did she make sure my meal was amazing, but she also made sure the person I was with had a top-tier experience as well. Everything from the food to the drinks was on point, and anytime we needed anything, Genesis was already one step ahead.
Her energy, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out and made this one of the best dining experiences we’ve had here. Servers like her are rare, and she absolutely deserves recognition. We will definitely be back because of the experience she provided!
EDIT TODAY 5/22/26!: I wanted to leave another review for our server Jordyn tonight because she was absolutely amazing tonight. What makes this even more impressive is that this was only her SECOND day at Walk-On’s, and she already had her own table because it was so busy. Honestly, if she had not told us she was new, we never would have known. She was extremely communicative, charismatic, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed the entire time.
I also tend to have a lot of requests and very specific ways I like things done, and she handled every single thing perfectly. She asked questions, made sure she fully understood what I meant, and really took the time to make sure there was no room for error. Despite this only being her second day, she made sure she knew exactly what she was doing so she wouldn’t mess anything up, and I really appreciated that. You can tell she genuinely cares about giving good service and making guests feel comfortable.
As someone who has worked in industries like this before and who currently works in retail, I can always appreciate good service, but even more than that, I appreciate good people. Jordyn truly gave off that energy tonight, and it made the experience even better.
At this point, we’re regulars here and come at least 2–3 times a month, and experiences like this are exactly why we keep coming back. I actually wrote a review previously for Genesis, and now I’m writing one for Jordyn because outstanding service deserves recognition.
I also want to give a special shoutout to Kaitlyn and Haley because they were amazing as well. They gave us great recommendations, had open and genuine conversations with us, and added such positive energy to the atmosphere overall. They both made us feel even more welcomed and comfortable throughout the experience.
Overall, tonight was amazing from start to finish. Just like our previous visits, Walk-On’s continues to give us a consistently great experience, and that’s something I really appreciate. It’s nice knowing that when we come here, we can count on great food, great energy, and great people.

Ordered online at 2:30 pm on a Wednesday. Website said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I walk in 10 minutes past when the website told me it would be ready, the restaurant is dead, maybe 1 customer, except for all the servers sitting around gossiping and watching tv. No one acknowledged me even after I had to walk up to them. I asked about my order and they said someone would be with me. 2 minutes later someone shows up, tells me they're still waiting on the salsa(?) for my chicken. 15 minutes go by and my food still isn't ready. Food is good but not worth the nearly hour long wait.

Devil on Horseback for appetizer and the blckened Catfish Atchafayla! You will not be disappointed.

I've given this location three good tries and it is consistent in slow service. I would recommend Bad Daddies Burgers near by because that's where I will go from now on, I will miss the onion rings at Walkons.... but thats it.
