“Last two times we went in the host was extremely rude to us. The second time we walked out because there is really no need for the attitude. Have always enjoyed the food there but won’t be back until someone else is seating people politely.“

“Yesterday was my first time at Olexa’s and the experience was great. Our waitress was very helpful with her recommendations for a first-timer. She recommended the Smoked Turkey Sandwich with a side salad. It was delicious and came out quickly given there was a full house at lunchtime. We also had a slice of the quiche of the day which was delicious also. By the end of my meal, I was very full but of course, there’s always room for dessert. She raved about the cake and yes, I had a slice of the warm buttercream cake. It was so good. I’ve been raving about Olexa’s since yesterday and will return with family and friends.“

I had never heard of it but I love trying food from new places. It was a small family affair and we all enjoyed ourselves. I wish I could remember our waiter's name because he was just as awesome as the cocktail that he suggested I try! The food was good, (please try the chicken salad sandwich)) and the atmosphere was comfortable. I walked out full & buzzed! It was a good time! Damn, now I'm hungry!“

“This was our first time eating at Giuseppe’s Cafe tonight. It was my daughter’s 22nd Birthday. They got us seated quickly, the food was beyond delicious and they let us bring our birthday cake in. “I ate here for lunch on my weekday lunch excursion to Birmingham's lovely zoo. It took me about 2.5 hours to tour the zoo and afterward I decided I should grab a bite to eat before I began the long drive home a few hours away.\n\nI found the interior to be large with plenty of space around to accomodate lots of patrons. There were very large and fun pictures of a few wild animals adorning the walls and toward the back where you enter from, was a condiment buffet of every enticing flavor-enhancer you could possible imagine. \n\nThe cashier was incredibly happy and helpful. I let her know that I am gluten-free due to health issues and asked her what she could recommend. We decided on the corn-breaded corn dog. It was HUGE! I was surprised by the wide variety of dining options offered here. From cold club sandwiches, to hot BBQ and salad, this place seemed to have it all. I will say however that I found out the hard way that the corn bread batter did have gluten flour in its breading but it tasted great so I was just a little uncomfortable afterward but no biggie! \n\nI highly recommend that you give the zoo lunch-in a try, I was very glad to have the option of a hot meal served with an enthusiastic smile before I headed home. Southern hospitality at its finest.“

Their display fridge has some ethnic desserts, and after asking the cashier for recommendations, they suggested the "Rice pudding w/ black eyed peas" and it a sweet suprise.
