“Here is why I rate them so high: First when I walked up to the area where they are serving it, I wait because of a customer they are talking to. While I wait, the lady infront of me has ALREADY ORDERED and I only have to wait about 1 second! As I start to walk up to one of the employees, he complements my shirt and immediately gets my order. He even adds "Take the time if you need it," and faces a little menu infrastructure of me on the counter. After ordering, he helps me with the cashier machine, and I obviously tip for how good my experience had been so far. I wait for about a minute until he signals me over to get my order. In all, I am definitely going again, and as an added bonus, the TEA was amazing with so many options and combinations to choose from. [Even ones that are not Boba]

Our meal consisted of the Feta Cheese bake as an appetizer, followed by Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and Manicotti. Each dish was expertly prepared. Notably, our waitress Ty provided exceptional service, making us feel welcome and treating us with familial warmth. She ensured we had refreshments to take with us and carefully packaged our leftovers. We highly recommend Giuseppe's Cafe to anyone in the area and suggest requesting Ty's attentive service, mentioning Melissa from Pensacola as a referral.“

“Update 5/10/24: Things have changed quite a bit since my initial review. Parkside is very different and better in most ways. Better cocktails, better arrangement & seating on their excellent patio, better service, friendlier bartender.. The only thing not markedly better is the food. The old Hotbox was great too, until near the end. Very nice job, new owner.

Good bartenders, good drinks, decent beer selection. Sometimes they have something special on tap too.

Parking: Park where you can and walk through Avondale. It's a lively neighborhood.“

“We recently held my son’s rehearsal dinner at Iz the Place. Everything was PERFECTION. I had received several recommendations from friends and had asked for a general estimate to get a feel for the cost. I was very pleased with the estimate and I booked them immediately without ever having even been in the venue. I had seen pictures online and from friends and knew it was the place.Melissa was my point of contact, and she was wonderful. She was on top of everything and helped with this nervous Mother of the Groom at every turn with a smile on her face. I met with her a month before the rehearsal dinner and she was very helpful with suggestions and I even made upgrades to the menu since the estimate was under what we had budgeted. Melissa is a very warm and caring person and is very knowledgeable about events, menus, etc. She went out of her way to accommodate us so that we could decorate earlier when we had conflicts with other events we had to attend that day.Everyone raved about the food and how lovely everything was. The two wait-staff were fantastic. They were everywhere at all times. I realized we didn't have a gift table and they got that set up in the middle of putting down salad plates before I could even turn around. The bartender was taking care of the bar and any questions that I had as well. The rehearsal ended earlier than expected and people arrived 30 minutes early. But the staff didn't blink an eye. The bar was opened early and everyone just socialized until everything was ready.The food was fantastic. Every bite I put into my mouth was delicious. The passed appetizers were a huge hit. We had fried mac-n-cheese bites, loaded potato bites, and phyllo dough wrapped sausages. Several people commented they could have just eaten the mac-n-cheese bites and been perfectly happy with just that. Our dinner was a buffet with grilled chicken, beef tenderloin, fettuccine alfredo, mixed vegetables, garden salad, and rolls. The seasoning on the grilled chicken was fantastic. The beef tenderloin was flavorful and juicy. Everyone enjoyed the fettuccine alfredo and the mixed vegetables as well. As soon as the pans were empty, they were quickly refilled. And the dessert bites set at each table were fought over!! We had strawberry cake/icing, cheesecake bites, and chocolate mousse bombs. It could not have been any better and I would not have changed a single thing.I highly recommend Iz the Place. The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff was top notch. The price was reasonable in my opinion considering what all was included and based on other estimates I’ve seen from other venues. You won’t regret using them.“

“We attended an event yesterday that had catering and beverage service by this company. The staff were all so personable, especially the ladies working the beverage station. They even got creative with the juices to make my sister a non-alcoholic option. The drinks I ordered were strong and tasty! The house smelled of tasty food as soon as we stepped in the door and it was a beautiful spread. My favorite dishes were the arancini, the beef tenderloin sliders, and the miniature tomato pies! The little chocolate cakes were not to be missed either. This is a wonderful service and speaking as a guest of the party, they did a wonderful job!“

Since I tried them out, I have been coming back if I don’t bring a meal with me to work. Thus far have lost 20 pounds thanks to them and the great food they provide.
