“We're not huge fans of Greek food, but we tried Tasty Town, mainly for convenience. We had planned a very packed day of sight-seeing in Birmingham on a Saturday. It seemed that hardly any eatery would be open and there wasn't time allowance to drive out of the downtown area, without being late for the next activity. Thus, we settled on a mid-afternoon lunch/dinner at Tasty Town. Honestly, both of us thought it was better than we had anticipated and the service and location were top notch. Thanks, Tasty Town! “Lunch was so yummy! I had the rice bowl with gyro meat and everything was fresh and the flavors were on point. Sometimes gyro meat can be dry, but not at this place. The meat was so juicy and flavorful. The service was also really good, as well. I recommend checking them out.“

I wanted Chicken Salad but they were out (meaning it goes fast when available) So I got the Cheese Burger instead and was happy I did. It was delicious and pretty big honestly. “UAB location is awesome. I have visited this located several times and always clean, friendly, and food always good. I normally do online order and my order always ready when I arrive. I ate there with my mother once and it was nice and pleasant. We sat outside on the patio.“

“The food was delicious as always but they were short on wait staff and it took quite awhile to get our food. Was very disappointed when they brought out breadsticks, not their usual. When we asked what happened to their fantastic breadsticks, we were told we could still purchase a breadstick for $2.00. Wish we were told that to begin with. The portions have also gotten quite a bit smaller. But still delicious .“

“Casual comfort food. The chicken kabob and gyro plate are excellent , good portions and a quality meal. I love the big baker for nights when you need a hug…simple goodness and I like to add gyro meat. Burgers, Gyros and fries are solid and the chick in a sack is a family favorite. Pita and hummus are delicious and the mint iced tea is a treat. This is a great meal in a chill environment.“
