“Best lunch in Birmingham.“

“Princeton Alternative Elementary School hired Gus's to cater an outside "tailgating" experience for about 200 students, staff, and parents. Lee and his staff member exceeded our expectations. They were timely, prepared, and eager to help us in any capacity. They served everyone with a smile and pleasant attitude. Our event was a success because of the delicious food and excellent service. We are so glad to have found a partner in Gus's and look forward to having them at future events.“

“The burgers and fries are always fresh and deliciously crafted. I order online and pick up for my husband's (and my) dinner an average of once a week. My husband never gets tired of it and would rather have a burger from Craft Burger than from any other restaurant in town!“

“Cute little place if you are hungry for a juicy burger and fries, but a bit pricey and really small in case it is raining, or you want to dine in they have very limited seating inside. Staff was polite and efficient. Burger was juicy and a bit greasy on the outside but what's a burger without grease? I would stop in again if I was in the area at lunchtime, but the parking is a nightmare in this plaza to begin with and a nightmare to get in and out of so good luck with that situation but if you can get in and find a place to park try the burger and fries. Oh, it looks like they only have burgers, dogs and fries. You will spend $20 for a quick lunch but worth a try at least once.“

“Gus' Hot Dogs has survived for a long time and it's because of the loyalty of the many patrons. The menu offers many options and all is delicious! The chili dog is unique as the chili looks like beef dog sauce but it has a rich, chili flavor. Please try one or many!!“

“I've been driving past this place for months and thought I needed to try it. Today was the day, Chili Cheese dogs for me and Slaw dogs for a co-worker. Fries and Tots too, both of out meals were good, friendly people behind the counter too. Looks like they have a good variety of other standards for this type of small restaurant. “You walk in the door and this incredible scent lures you upstairs to the coolest Japanese bistro I've ever seen. Pick up the phone in the phone booth to gain passage to a legit 1920s speakeasy. Beautiful music playing, cocktails. I never want to leave.“

“We wanted a unique and local place. A hole in the wall if you will. The store front said this is it. When you walk in it doesn't look like a sit down restaurant, and there aren't many seats. Ms Dawson greets you from behind a wall and comes around to take your order. Plan to be patient as she cooks it fresh and is a solo operator. The burger was well worth the wait. Definitely give it a shot for lunch.. just don't be in a hurry.“

“I've been eating Sneaky Pete's hotdog since I was a little kid. The food is great, but it's much more than that. It's more than just a hot dog restaurant, it's a Birmingham icon. Everyone from here and travels through here should have a Sneaky Pete's hot dog.“

Manager even came out and checked on everyone dining. “I picked up my take out order. I told the staff I needed the strawberry shake. I was told a couple minutes later it was in the bag. I checked and I could see the top of the cup so I left. Got home and it was vanilla. My husband ordered the hot ones burger and there was a quarter size of sauce in the middle of the top bun. His burger was basically dry. My bacon burger was cooked too long, part of it was not edible because it was hard as a rock. This was my first time coming here and I don't plan on returning.“

“I enjoyed my burger there both times I visited. A hot, double patty with fresh, chilled fixings. Good tea as well. It's right around the corner from the North Pavillion of UAB.

I'd recommend ya stop in if you're around there. Spent $14 for the meal, and it was worth it.“
