The best BBQ in the Shoals area, hands down - bar none. There are some great BBQ places in this area, but OK Corral is on an island on its own. The line can be long yes, but isn't this a good thing for a restaurant? I don't understand why someone would complain about this. There is a reason. The food is fantastic. Smoked chicken...amazing. The sandwiches are all great and the sides are fantastic as well. Don't sleep on the Mexican cornbread. It is all home cooking...
It is a drive in food source. No inside service. You drive to their property, wait in long line to get to the window, place your order and wait for your food. Local folks claim that the food is great, but we sat in line more than 20 minutes and still had seven vehicles in front of us, so we left. Not being critical of the owners, it appears to be a popular place, but we chose to go elsewhere.
This is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I have been eating the BBQ and Hot dogs from here since the day they opened in 1971. And even though I don't live here anymore, this is the FIRST stop I make every time I come to town every 2 or 3 months. I have several friends that also eat there now as well because I have shared the food with them. As long as this place is open for business I will be coming to the shoals every 2 or 3 months to get my hot dog and BBQ fix. AWSOME, AMAZING...THANK...
