I placed a to-go order last night around 8:30 for My husband, 3 children & I...The sides delicious,, but the 1/2 chicken & ribs were disappointing & my children complained their chicken tenders being tasteless.. overall it was not worth the price.(We haven't ate Dreamland in a about 2 or 3 years, since then the quality of the food has went down & prices have gone up.)

We went there today with a group of 6. It took quite a while, but they eventually brought entrees for four and said the other two would be out shortly. After the first four were done eating, they brought the 5th meal and told us that the didn't have the last meal because they were out of those ingredients. The waiter was VERY new, so we didn't blame him, but the management was clearly not paying attention. One of the people in our group went up to tell the manager that this was very poor service, and they literally just looked at him. The meat was good, but most of the food is average at best. They could make the experience work with good service but the service was exceptionally bad. There are too many great bbq places in the area to bother with this one.

My wife and I used to love dreamland, and I feel as though the quality we have expected is no longer there. The tips and chips are my go-to meal if they have it, and it was a definite hit about 2 years ago, and now it's hit or miss. The tips are either perfectly done with a great sauce and flavor or kind of meh with either dry tips or no flavor. The service is ok, we ran out of drink several times and didn't see our waitress for the most of the time we were there (I couldn't tell if they are understaffed or what was going on, but we tried to be just as polite and gave her the benefit of the doubt). Overall, it's a good place to get lunch, but it could be better.

We sat down and then waited about 23 minutes before a server came and got our drink order. We placed our food order immediately after she returned with the drinks. They were out of several food items so the selection was limited. 30 minutes goes by and we still didn't have our food and wasn't even offered a refill on our drinks. By the time our food arrived we had to leave to go back to the office. It took another ten minutes to get the bill. And to top it off she didn't even place our orders correctly. I didn't receive mine at all.

Not a lot to choose from. Only 1 type of sauce. Ordered chicken sandwich good flavor but texture was that of jerky. Beans perfect

I was seated and then waited 20 minutes without ever having a server interact. No drink order. Menu. Nothing. Blood sugar started dropping so i left and went elsewhere while I still was capable of driving.

Went here after Bama homecoming and rushed to beat the crowd. No wait to be seated at 330pm but we waited almost an hour for the food. It appeared they were understaffed on the floor as well as the kitchen. The manager and hostess were doing very little to help which ticked me off. The owners need to reevaluate the management of this location to ensure they can do more than just stand around. They don't know how to be teamplayers when the place gets jamming. I would have fired them on the spot if I was the owners. Food is okay. Not top notch bbq on this day. Probably my last ever visit as there are way better BBQ joints all around the south.

I hate to say it, but this is just not my favorite chain. The food choices are minimal. The barbecue is not the best as it is advertised in my opinion. And the service, at this particular location, was good but not great. Considering we were in, the location of the University of Alabama, I expected way better. Again, this is just my opinion.

It was the day after the Bama n LSU game. Only items available were ribs and slaw, so that’s what I had at 11am.It was good. But not great. If you can only goto one bbq joint, I’d head over to Archibalds.

My family and I dined in for my sister’s birthday. She wanted some bbq our hotel was literally walking distance and the receptionist suggested Dreamland BBQ. The smell caught us at the door! I had the fried green tomatoes and chicken sandwich. It was delicious! The atmosphere and service was great! 10/10 we will back during basketball season!

Terrible food and service. Was one of the first people in the restaurant at lunch and was told 30 min after ordering that the sausage was frozen when they came in and that it would be a few more minutes. 20 minutes later my food comes out cold and soggy. Worst meal I've ever had at Dreamland. My waitress left me sitting at the table after I had already been in the restaurant for over an hour until I went up to the counter to get my bill. It was discounted 30%, but should have been completely wiped after that experience. I won't be back.

I ordered a starter and a wrap. It took a long time to come out, and when they came out at the same time, the starter was wrong. I also received no cutlery to eat my side with. Wrong starter was taken away to be fixed. Sat there another 45 minutes, and never got it, a refill for my drink, or cutlery for my side. What I did get was good, and I recognize it was busy. Still... do better

This is the best BBQ restaurant in Birmingham or Tuscaloosa. Ribs are great, which if you don't want on the bone, you can get it on a sandwich in Birmingham.
