I thought this place would be a good comparison with Blue Plate but the portions are super small. Food is bland. No seasoning whatsoever. They must have lost the key to the seasoning cabinet. Nothing special about the plate. Barely fills the Togo box. Granted, service was good. Food was ready when we got there. #budgetcuts

Always good! This was actually a wake in their private dining room, and was prepaid.

The workers and owners are so nice and friendly. The food is great and the peanut butter pie is my favorite.

Classic local *meat-and-three* southern diner. Had a lunch there today with my mom. Food is very good, especially the vegetables! (Butter beans, field peas, and fried okra were all yum.) Great service, friendly folks. (They even went to a bit of extra trouble so we could have hot tea.) Lots of tables to accommodate families and groups. It is is one big room filled with tables and chairs, so I can't really say anything about "atmosphere." But I do recommend it, and we'll be back!Vegetarian options: They offer multiple vegetables each day. I do not know if they offer vegan though.Parking: The restaurant is a large building with its own large parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Very family-friendly.

This is mainly an older people restaurant. If you're not a regular then they look at you like you are really unwelcomed. If you are by yourself with your children you will be judged.

I've been here several times and the food was decent. I usually take home some in a box today it was horrible. I order the daily special of meat and 2 I got Chicken strips, fries and side salad. Salad served in a bowl used for vegetables three tiny little strips that had been fried until it was shoe leather. Lukewarm Fries. Our server tried to make better but it didn't improve very much. Server made a very snarky comment that really pissed me off. She made it sound like it was my fault that the food wasn't good. I honestly try not to send food back for the fear of COOKS and SERVERS of SPITTING in my food. Food should be consistent not the way the Cook of the Day feels like Preparing it that Day. Not that it matters but don't waste your money the food was not worth it.

food dry. peas not cooked. pulled up to curbside service space and no one ever came out and had to go in the restaurant. would not recommend using this business at all. i have used this business for years but the food and service have gone down.

This was my first time here. It's just a place to get some country cooking. A plain room inside held about 30 square tables with four chairs at each one. The servers are all young girls, maybe college students. They have daily specials and the entire menu fits on one single chart. I ordered the chicken tenders with English peas, sweet potato casserole, and a roll. My plate came with three small tenders. The casserole was the same color as the tenders and I could hardly see it because it was a single scoop sitting right next to them. They had a lot of crunch on top. Not sure what it was exactly. The peas were in a separate bowl. The only utensils were a fork and knife. The peas were so small, that they went everywhere when I tried to eat them. I should have asked for a spoon. The chicken tenders were the absolute best! They served them with a little cup of honey mustard on the side. I wish there had been more. My friend ordered the same thing except she asked for the mashed potatoes. When they were brought out, she had to ask for gravy. Who serves mashed potatoes without gravy?
