Classic local *meat-and-three* southern diner. Had a lunch there today with my mom. Food is very good, especially the vegetables! (Butter beans, field peas, and fried okra were all yum.) Great service, friendly folks. (They even went to a bit of extra trouble so we could have hot tea.) Lots of tables to accommodate families and groups. This was my first time here. It's just a place to get some country cooking. A plain room inside held about 30 square tables with four chairs at each one. The servers are all young girls, maybe college students. They have daily specials and the entire menu fits on one single chart. I ordered the chicken tenders with English peas, sweet potato casserole, and a roll. My plate came with three small tenders. absolutely a gem! Sunday dinner is a favorite here! Food is good, ample, and fresh. There is a lot of seats, however there may still be a short wait during busy periods. You won't be dissatisfied.
