Decided to stop into the Cactus Cantina in Orange Beach on a whim. Turned out to be a great choice. I had the Texas Burrito and the wife had the Cactus Grilled Burrito. They both were very good. The cactus grits were surprisingly great.

The chips were good a bit thin but not a lot of complaint there. The salsa is very liquidy I like my salsa a bit chunkier, it had a nice spice tho. The menu had a nice selection the bathrooms were small and a bit dirty but alright. For an appetizer i got the 3 amigos cheese dip didn't get to eat a lot of it they brought it at the same time of my food but the bit I had was good. I decided in the burrito ranchero it was large and filling the steak was cooked pretty good the Spanish rice wasn't very good but the refried beans were good 9/10. Shrimp quesadilla 10/10, and boom boom shrimp tacos 10/10. The wait staff was nice definitely deserved a big tip. The fries were in my toddler sisters words "yummy". Definitely recommend.

Due to beach traffic, wait times at restaurants have exploded and we tried to get pick up pizza, didn't want to wait 1.5, 2 hours, so we saw this place when we drove in and decided to stop here. It was later in the evening because we had to wait for a table about 30-45 minutes. It went by fast and we had a great waitress. We had looked at the menu when we were waiting and ordered quickly, and less than 15 minutes later our food arrived. It was delicious. My hubby got the chicken chimichanga, my son got the kid's nachos, and I got the chicken cactus grilled burrito. Their cactus grits were super yummy which were just some really good well made cheese grits. We also got the chorizo sausage/cheese dip appetizer. It tasted great but the portion was the small which was just the same size as the salsa dish for $6, so FYI. All the other dishes we got were a good price point.

Despite being super crowded, service was outstanding and the food came out super fast as well. Only concern was big chunks of avocado in the guacamole and small portion for the money. Food in general was great and apple pie dessert was fabulous Highly recommend!!!!

Absolutely wonderful! Food was piping hot and delicious! Drinks were brought out quickly and well worth the money! It was a busy night for the restaurant so there was a 10-15 min, but service was quick once we were seated. Our waiter Leroy T. was a joy! He was very attentive and explained everything we had questions about on the menu. We went with the items he recommended and they were GREAT! We will definitely come back here when we're in the area again!

We stopped in for a late lunch. There were maybe only 4 other tables of diners, most finishing up their lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately, however, It took quite a while for the server to return with our drinks and chips and salsa. Salsa was very good. Server was friendly and helpful with our questions. It also took a while to get the food. Chicken and beef enchiladas were okay, a 6 or 7 out of 10. Sides of beans and rice were excellent. Fish in the tacos was flavorful but slightly over cooked. The toppings were fresh. With all the choices in Orange Beach, I don't think we'll be back to this restaurant again.

We loved the food! This place was busy, but the service was great. Delicious meal for everyone. We enjoyed the shrimp tacos, and the cactus grits were fantastic! We would go back!

Wow! As a Texas girl, I didn't expect to find good Mexican food in Alabama. The Pina Fajitas were unique and amazing! Great chips and salsa, simple white Queso. Decent taco salad! Great enchiladas!! Fresh tea!!

hey i agree doesnt look like much....when you walk in it looks a little worn out but they greet you right away, the server is friendly and quick, the food comes out quick and the food is very good, no it is not the best mexican food ever but it is very very good and the service was EXCELLENT - this is one of the BETTER places ive been to out here and the prices are also great- very reasonable compared to what youll pay in this area. It was my birthday and i love mexican food and a frozen margarita on my birthday so i decided to try this place and im glad i did- the margarita was good, shrimp tacos excellent, fajita also excellent. I love coming to orange beach but a lot of the other restaurants ive tried are expensive, service is slow and food just so-so this place is different--- if you like mexican food try it. next time im in town i will be back for sure. im talking about the location on perdito beach in orange beach- it was closest to where i was staying. i havent tried any of the others but i might next time out.

Amazing food!!!! Service was outstanding and the manager or owner (not sure which) even came out to talk to us and asked us how everything was. Food came out super fast as well. Highly recommend!!!!

Absolutely unacceptable service. We would not eat here again if it was THE ONLY place in town. We felt like we walked into the movie Mean Girls. The waitress (I was going to post her name but my sister won’t let me ?) was rude the ENTIRE time, beginning before she even opened her mouth at the table. She never smiled, hardly even looked at us, and caught an attitude when we wanted a different drink because the sweet tea was disgusting. The manager (I’m assuming?) was not any better. My sister ordered two beef enchiladas on flour tortillas with cheese on top, which she has ordered for YEARS at every Mexican restaurant that we have been to, and has NEVER had an issue ordering it. The food came out and it was on corn tortillas, so we sent it back. A woman came out with the enchiladas and said LOUDLY “so you want what now?”, so I told her exactly what we ordered. She then, very rudely, said “well just so you know, an enchilada on flour is not an enchilada, it’s a taco.” ?? Then, when the waitress opened the check and saw that she did not get a tip (because it’s a tip for exceptional service, it is not ever guaranteed) she looked at one of my friends with a pretty hostile look. YOU. HAVE. TO. EARN. A. TIP. IT IS NOT GUARANTEED MONEY. ?? 0/10 would not recommend to my worst enemy. Number one, we should not feel like we are inconveniencing our waitress. It’s your job. Number two, don’t catch an attitude when we order something unlike that way you want us to word it. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Customer service. And no, we did not leave one penny of a tip and regret nothing, except for the fact that we spent almost $70 on only 2 meals that were mediocre. ??‍♀️

As you can tell with my after dinner photo... most of the food was eat! We were in and out of this place in under a hour. We were seated and brought drinks as soon as we arrived and food came 10 minutes after we ordered. No problems with any of the orders for any of us there. Waiter was very nice and checked on us often. Food was good as well!
