I really wanted to like B Graves — this was my second visit, hoping for a better experience after the first one didn’t go so well. Unfortunately, it still missed the mark.
I ordered the filet (medium) and asked for au poivre, which even cost extra on the menu. When the plate came out, it was overcooked — closer to well-done — and topped with a plain cream sauce with no pepper at all. Food has ALWAYS been great!
Favorite place to eat in Troy.
Food was ok, lukewarm and definitely did not make up for the horrible service…took 20 minutes to get a server to our table. When she finally showed up she forgot to give our drink order to the bartender and claimed he was just backed up on orders so another 30 minutes for a beer and a glass of wine!! Then we watched as she socialized with another table while we waited for another drink order to go with our cold food. Her favorite line and only excuse was “sorry….my bad”

B Graves serves quality food in a beautiful atmosphere. Diners have enjoyed well-prepared dishes like biscuits and gravy and the hangover. The food, service, and atmosphere are splendid. Customers have enjoyed dishes like the Chicken Alfredo, ribeye, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, pasta, strawberry salad, the brownie ala mode, and the peanut butter pie, all delicious and on point. The Mediterranean shrimp pasta and mahi-mahi are also enjoyed. While service can be inconsistent, the overall experience is pleasant, with some finding it amazing and attentive. Located on the square in downtown Troy, the restaurant is a great spot for a meal.
