Well .. twilight zone is the best way to describe it. I felt as if i would never get to leave this place . The food took 1.5 hrs to come out The bbq was old was not fresh at all Microwave for sure . I wasted my one and only Alabama bbq experience on this joint . The funniest part of this place is This place has actually attached"world famous " To it . Ride a little further down the highway yall and go to mcDonalds .

Stopped for lunch and a road break on the way elsewhere. It's not "fast food", as a sign in the restaurant plainly informs patrons. Delicious, tho. I ordered chicken and dumplings (daily lunch special) and it was, indeed, special. In the very best possible way. Lots of pulled chicken, both dark and light meat, and the dumplings WERE NOT repurposed canned biscuit dough. IOW, just like Granny used to make it. Yum. Devoured it. Spouse ordered pulled pork barbeque sandwich (which I sampled) and it was also delicious. I chuckled when I read a review comparing the BBQ poorly with Texas. Texas barbeque is called a "cinder" where I come from in Memphis, 'cause we know what to do with a pig in Memphis. ;-) BTW, the place was packed with locals. That's a five-star review right there.

If you are a non-smoker, don't even bother. The BBQ smelled amazing when we got out of our vehicle. We walked in, turned around, and walked out again. In that short time, my throat and eyes were burning. Even tho the sign said we were on the non-smoking side, it was cloudy and overwhelming with cigarette smoke. No ventilation?

Simple bbq dive. We had quick service and a great lunch. BBQ burger special was really awesome with perfect portions of patty, pulled pork, sauce & onion rings. Fried okra was delish.

Beware , I went online to look at their menu and I ordered from that menu. The rib dinner with two sides. It stated in print 22.99. when I got to the restaurant they were charging me $45.10. I showed them their menu from the internet that I saved a copy of and they where very cavalier about the situation. Then to add insult to injury they added a 3 and 1/2% surcharge for using a credit card. Their ribs are good but the transaction was horrible. I gave him one star only because that's the least I can give them.

Service is amazing and the food is delicious. This is a must stop in your travels. You won't regret it.
I picked up brisket, barbecue sandwich, and a stuffed baked potato. Everything was very good and tasty. If you don’t like cigarette smoke, you should stand outside and wait for your food. The prices were very reasonable.
