I was staying at the hotel and stopped by at this restaurant to order a salad. I asked if they could add tomatoes. The answer was NO. Not an explanation, no reason, nothing. Just NO.

If you want more than one drink, go somewhere else. Bar isn’t capable of keeping up. Otherwise, 5 stars.

It’s a gorgeous view but the bartenders were extremely rude. 08/31/24
Despite a very busy Saturday evening, our group of 4 managed to be seated immediately, the friendly staff took our drink and food orders, and within reasonable wait time everything served. All our food items (charcuterie tray, fries, sliders, and pizza) were freshly prepared and seasoned well. Definitely a great option to get drinks and light dinner when the restaurants and bars in the Strip are packed!

My favorite local bar! Roll Call is the fabulous rooftop bar located atop the Alamite Hotel in downtown Tuscsloosa. They have a variety of tasty cocktails. Our favorites are the margaritas, the cosmopolitans, and the espresso martinis, of course. They also have a hearty collection of appetizers to enjoy with your adult beverages like crab dip, pizza, street tacos, Caesar salads and more. The prices are good and the place has a fun , relaxing vibe. This rooftop bar is a great place to hang out with friends and family so make some time to stop in for a visit. Hours are posted but it is closed on Wednesdays which makes me sad. lol. Enjoy and Roll Tide.

This was not a great experience but perhaps just an off night? It was our first and decidedly last visit. I ordered hamburger sliders with fries, which consisted of two very small sliders. They were not bad, just small for $18. The fries were a disaster. They were so saturated with grease all of us sent back our (3) orders. The second attempt was just as bad. I’ve never had bad fries at a restaurant before. None of the alcoholic drinks we ordered were anything special and when we tried to order from the online menu they could not make those. The worst experience came at the end. We made it clear in the beginning that we wanted separate checks and the server said that was fine, but then all the sudden that wasn’t possible so then 4 couples were sitting there trying to divide a ridiculously long receipt. “Our system can’t do that” was the excuse. Like seriously, what decade is your system from? We’ve never had so many issues at a restaurant before. On a positive note, the manager did try to make things right by helping with the check and with the fry situation. But it was just too many negatives to try it again.
Food tried:
Beef sliders: B: good but basic and small
Chicken sandwich: A: pretty decent
White pizza: C: crust was off.
Ribs: B: good flavor
Caesar salad w/ chicken: D: chicken dried out.
Fries: F: saturated with grease, not cooked properly

The management is an absolute joke, I watched a manager scream at a bartender in front of me for no reason. The food was decent but overpriced.
