I mean the food was good I just wouldn't think if somebody says hey let's go grab a sandwich, this is not the place I'm going to think of it's not because I don't like it but just because it's nothing that I would have been jumping at the gills to go get. I mean it's good

I had Kool Korner sandwiches bookmarked for a while now. I regret so much that I didn't get the opportunity to support this wonderful establishment prior to the owner passing away recently. My mom and I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There was a decent crowd dining inside and outside. The ordering process is straightforward. I ordered a regular classic cuban with chips and a drink. My mom had a regular pastrami with chips and a drink. We spent roughly $23; not bad for what we ordered. This is definitely the best Cuban I've had locally! The bread is absolutely amazing!!! This is what makes the sandwich. In the future , I will add more pickles as well as mustard. I really enjoyed my first time here and will be back to try more menu items. Got my eye on the beef empanada!!!

I ate there when they were on 14th Street in Atlanta. It had been 25 years since I had had a Cuban sandwich from there. I understand things change, and with inflation, price go up. But still $13.00 for a sandwich that was on the skimpy side. I lot had change in 25 years and not for the good.

For several years now, I’ve been hitting up this spot for lunch. Now, I can’t speak to “authenticity” as I’ve never been to Cuba. But it’s quite clear to me based off the staff and the particular sandwiches available, this is likely the most authentic Cuban food you can find in the Bham metro. The CONSISTENCY is the best part about this place. The food is excellent, no doubt. But the fact it’s ALWAYS delivering on quality and taste is what brings me back.

I have come to this restaurant twice in the last 2 weeks, and I really love their food. However, the first time I came it was at 2:20 and they were closed, and I just arrived at 2:50 closed again, knowing that they close at 3:00. I even called at 1:52 and said are y'all going to be open till 3:00 and the lady on the phone said yes. I would have gotten my food to go both times, but now I don't want to eat here ever again because they're not open when they say they are open! It's hard to get here before they close because I have an 8-month-old. I might be complaining, but if a restaurant says they're open, they should be open during their hours. Right?? I plan on opening a restaurant one day.We will be open during regular business hours till we close, not earlier not later ?

Great tasting sandwiches. If you don't want a hamburger again this is a great alternative.

Real Cuban food. Good too

I ordered the classic cuban sandwich. It was delicious! The bread, although very good, wasn't the same as cuban bread you would get in Miami.

The original owner, Mr. Ramirez was a very nice man. A few times I debated with him about politics. He thought I was just a stupid kid who did not know what she was talking about - and he was probably right. He put up with me because I'm Cuban, and we all gravitate toward each other, being that there are so few of us in Alabama. Mr. Ramirez may be gone now, but his classic Cuban sandwiches live on! They are the best!If I had one complaint about this place, it would be that they are not open later in the day. I hope more people discover it so that they stay open past 3 pm and I can eat there more often.

Amazing sandwiches with probably best service in town! Will be going back every time I'm in Bham!
