I had Kool Korner sandwiches bookmarked for a while now. I regret so much that I didn't get the opportunity to support this wonderful establishment prior to the owner passing away recently. My mom and I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There was a decent crowd dining inside and outside. The ordering process is straightforward. For several years now, I’ve been hitting up this spot for lunch. Now, I can’t speak to “authenticity” as I’ve never been to Cuba. But it’s quite clear to me based off the staff and the particular sandwiches available, this is likely the most authentic Cuban food you can find in the Bham metro. The CONSISTENCY is the best part about this place. The food is excellent, no doubt. But the fact it’s ALWAYS delivering on quality and taste is what brings me back.

The original owner, Mr. Ramirez was a very nice man. A few times I debated with him about politics. He thought I was just a stupid kid who did not know what she was talking about - and he was probably right.
