Napoli is a fantastic addition to the Birmingham food scene! Possibly the best Italian food in Birmingham. Pasta dishes are always outstanding, plus great pizzas and calzones in a white tablecloth atmosphere that is reasonably priced. It’s authentic Italian with a mix of flavors that set it apart from other local Italian restaurants.
We’ve been going almost since opening day and we’re always happy with the taste, quality and people.
Totally worth a visit for you! I love this place!!
Vegetarian options: They frequently feature spinach or butternut squash ravioli and other veg options in the pasta menu. They are glad to accommodate sauce changes to customize many dishes as veg-friendly.
Parking: Large, nearly flat parking lot. Easy access.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy parking, zero elevation entry and tables (not booths) that can accommodate assistance devices.

Love the atmosphere—tables well spaced so you can actually hear your conversations—even with a large group. White tablecloths, Italian classics (like Dean Martin) playing in the background. We were welcomed by the new general manager, Joe. They offered a list of special items for the evening and I had a bowl of lobster bisque which was delicious. My husband and I ordered 2 different pizzas and wine. The ingredients were so fresh. A lovely evening out!

Excellent food. Have been looking for a great old school homestyle Italian restaurant ever since Lovoy’s shut down years ago, and I think we found it. We liked the relaxed, casual atmosphere. They were working through some kinks with a couple of new staff members (first day on the job), and some prices were a little high IMO, but everything we ate was really delicious, even the salads. We had pastas and a calzone, all fantastic. The pizzas looked amazing, and we overheard another customer say it was the best she ever had. Great food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Napoli Italian Restaurant & Pizza is a hidden gem in Vestavia Hills, hidden between Hoover and Mountain Brook. I visited Napoli with a few friends for dinner. We tried the garlic knots for appetizers which were a bop! They were so delish, I could literally live off of them. The pasta dishes were all hits. I usually don’t clean plates but I couldn’t resist, I had the chicken fettuccine pesto and it was quite literally heaven on earth. I wish I had ordered another serving g of garlic knots to eat with the pasta bc that would just be over the stars delish.
The prospect of going back to Napoli is living rent free. The food was fooding, everyone loved the food, service, and the overall dining experience. We all said we would come back and we believe Napoli is better than MANY other Italian restaurants in the area.

We enjoyed such an amazing meal today at Napoli’s! We had wine, appetizers, entrees, and desserts, and EVERYTHING was so delicious and authentic tasting. Owner was also very nice and made the service great. The presentation of each dish was arranged beautifully. We sat in the more “casual” section of the restaurant, and I could see how hard the owner works in the kitchen from our table. He is quite impressive with how he manages so much flawlessly. We highly recommend. And we cannot wait to come back again!
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of great choices for little ones!

This is the worst non-chain restaurant pizza I have ever had. First, the pizzas are tiny and way overpriced--$20 for a ten-inch pizza. Then, the crust took up 1/3 of the pizza and was so hard it seemed stale. The center of the pizza was soggy, with visible standing liquid, and the cheese fell off in a giant lump. I told the management, and they still had the gall to make me pay for it. I will never come back here. Troup's is 10 minutes down the road, has way bigger, significantly cheaper pizzas, and they are so much better. I literally left here and went to Troup's to get an edible dinner.
Restaurant has an appealing interior, but was HOT; fans were on, but the a/c didn't seem to be. Food was very good; manicotti, pizza, lobster ravioli and canoli were all very good. Owner is "hands on" and was easily accessible. Price was a little higher than expected; $180 including 2 beers (which were room temp, so the refrigerator definitely needs to be adjusted) and tip. We'll be back.

The bacon on the wedge salad is from a bag. It is not fresh. I specifically asked if the dressing was made in House… it was straight from a jar. I don’t mind it being from a jar but they lied. The prices are high and the service is poor. The marinara is room temperature and watery. I feel bad because they are clearly struggling and have low staff. Major fail to lie to customers and then say the recipe is a secret. The secret is that it is from a gallon jug. I hope they can turn it around somehow. I know it’s not easy trying to get decent staff and keep up with the cost of a restaurant.

Very $$$$. First, I have no complaints about the food but I it was not worth what I paid for it. It was good but not great. I believe I was overcharged? We took our two grandchildren last night for pizza and chicken fingers (childs menu). My wife also had a pizza and I had the Veal Milanese (Veal and garden salad). We had 3 glasses of Pinot Noir and my bill was over $200 (after the tip it was $240). I should have said something about not getting an itemized receipt but that's my bad. Anyway, I probably won't be back.
