“I finally got around to eating at the Wharf today, I had the honey glazed pecan chicken and smoked gouda cheese grits and my friend had a Greek salad and the food was awesome and the staff was super friendly and accommodating and the prices were great, we will definitely be back to try some of the other items on the menu. So refreshing to find a restaurant of such high quality and variety!!”

“We went for the first time tonight for our anniversary. Hands down one of the best places we’ve ever eaten. Focaccia bread was melt in your mouth soft and seasoned perfectly. Fried green tomatoes were just the right amount of tart with crispy breading and a tasty sauce with shrimp. My eggplant delacroix was fantastic, not soggy at all and the sauce was so creamy. My husband said his ribeye was cooked to perfection, tender and delicious flavor. Asparagus and fries were really good, too. Salads had house made dressing and our server (who was also excellent) let me pick a dessert on the house to take home. I went with the chocolate peanut butter pie and enjoyed it in my pajamas!”

“100% amazing! Absolutely love these hotdogs! Looks like I have a long list of dogs to try out over the next few weeks that I’m here in Wetumpka. The “All The Way” was really awesome! I liked that when I opened the wrapper it was like a banana split… but a hotdog! It had the sauerkraut, pimento cheese, and coleslaw in separate portions along the top of the dog. Under that was a delicious meat/bean chili sauce lathered all over the resting dog. The chili soaked just enough into the bread that it was perfect and not soggy. 100% 10/10! The “Cheezy Beanie”…Oh man!! This one was my favorite out of the two (only because I’m not a big fan of the shredded pimento cheese and prefer a homemade classic pimento spread 🤷🏼‍♂️) anyway, this dog comes in at the top for me today… because the caramelized yellow onions piled up top a colossal mountain of meat/bean chili flowing into the melting cheese of the underdog. Perfect in every way. 10/10 I’ll eat it again! You absolutely have to stop in and have yourself a dog from “Grumpy Dog”! They are the second best hot dog stop in Alabama that I have been to. I eat a lot of hot dogs and a lot of food, this right here is the second best hot dog place I’ve been to. Period. I can’t wait to see what I unwrap at tomorrow’s dog day. Y’all have a blessed one and stay safe! Keep slinging them dogs!”

I miss this place so much because I moved 2 hours south but every time I get the chance I visit my favorite shop-- as a connoisseur of the beans! Today I went overboard with the crater iced, the lemon drop hot tea and a warm cinnamon roll to go. Perfection! I cannot absorb enough of the charming decor and restoration of this building. “What a cool spot! We’re new to the area and have heard lots of good things about Heady’s. We finally were able to stop by for lunch today. I loved the decorations and themed rooms, food was delicious, and staff was so friendly. And I appreciate all the games to help keep our boys entertained!! Definitely will be back.”

“We are there this evening! Driving by you wouldn’t even think it to be a restaurant if you don’t see the probably 40 year old portable Marquee sign out front. Definitely a place to stop if you are ever traveling through the area. Food is all homemade, I had a seafood platter and my wife had the whole catfish platter. Everything was good as it could get, I cleared my plate and my wife had to get a doggie bag, she could finish everything as is how it normally goes with her. It ran us around $55 tip included. The owner not sure if his name is Truman or not but said he had owned the place for ten years. He came out to check on us several times as well as the cook. Very rural area this is located at. Paper plates and red solo cups are how you are served. I would give it a rating of 8 of 10. The only down side is they only open in the evening three days a week. But if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.”

“We had to travel to Wetumpka Alabama and we stopped at Hog Rock Bar-B-Q and we was so happy we stopped !! The food was amazing!! We ate the baked chicken and it was so tender it just melted on your tongue !! The pulled pork was so tender and seasoned to perfection!! I wanted to take some fired chicken with us because a customer sitting next to me ordered it and she stated it was awesome ?!!! So whenever we return to Wetumpka Hog Rock Bar-B-Q is going to be our first stop !!

Parking: There's plenty of parking, but because the food is so fantastic, the parking lot is busy !!! But customers come and go !!!!”
