Truman's Seafood & Sandwiches

We are there this evening! Driving by you wouldn’t even think it to be a restaurant if you don’t see the probably 40 year old portable Marquee sign out front. Definitely a place to stop if you are ever traveling through the area. Food is all homemade, I had a seafood platter and my wife had the whole catfish platter. Everything was good as it could get, I cleared my plate and my wife had to get a doggie bag, she could finish everything as is how it normally goes with her. It ran us around $55 tip included. The owner not sure if his name is Truman or not but said he had owned the place for ten years. He came out to check on us several times as well as the cook. Very rural area this is located at. Paper plates and red solo cups are how you are served. I would give it a rating of 8 of 10. The only down side is they only open in the evening three days a week. But if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

The batter everything was fried in was disgusting. The catfish had no flavor at all. Not with the price at all!

First time visit. We got there close to closing time so our food was not hot. It was still good, and I'm sure it would be great fresh and hot. Great little secret hidden out on Hwy 9. Very fair prices. Too much food to eat. We will definitely be stopping by again soon.

Ok! This is not the beginning of my rating... Awesome or perfect is the lead into this introduction! The hospitality is superb ✔️ and to go further,, the appetizers follows the tone! To make this short and sweet... whenever you're on highway 9 and hungry. Pull over and make your soul smile. I promise you, you will thank yourself for the investment! Truman's is most definitely a great place to eat ?

Never paid so much for 2 nd rate seafood served on styrofoam plates and plastic utensils captain Ds Much better and 1/3 the price and so much better tasting hush puppies! But to each his own

It’s been over 12 years since the first time eating here… I remember why now. Ten tables full of people there when we got there waiting on food. We waited 45 minutes after ordering before we were served. Old and cold French fries, fish over cooked, hush puppies were the only thing worth eating. Would not
