The steaks & pizza at Roper's are top notch! We have eaten here several times with two to twelve in our party and have never been anything but impressed with the food and service.
I ordered chicken fried steak. The patty was paper thin and flavorless. The mashed potatoes were from a box and also flavorless. The gravy was blah. The only good thing was the pinto beans, they were delicious.
On arrival to Roper’s, I was able to find the central counter staff to place my order. The atmosphere was pretty packed with a lot of cars in the back lot.
The manager, a very talented sir, completed my substations for adding tenders to my chicken order. His prices were fair and demeanor was inviting and kind. The ladies that took the order, made eye contact and quickly took the order and read it back verifying the order.
