“I've been going to this place since I was a kid so I will freely admit that I'm biased. The Dairy Bar in Des Arc is one of the places I use as a standard for barbecue. I don't actually know much about the rest of their menu because the BBQ is just that good. Service is clean neat and efficient. Everything is prepped as ordered so it can take a little bit of time. My personally recommendation is either the brisket or chopped pork. Barbecue will come with slaw unless you otherwise specify. The malts are also solid. The new location is fantastic; the old building worked fine but it was starting to show it's age. The building itself is big, high vaulted ceilings and feels like home. The giant hearth in the back is a nice touch. For me, because of the food and partly because of nostalgia, this is one of the must stop places when I'm in the area. I actually brought a bunch of friends up here from New Orleans on a day trip once, it's that good.“
“I was very happy with my first visit to Big Fella's in Des Arc. My husband and I both like their food a lot. It's so nice to have another food option in Des Arc! We get tired of having to drive long distance just to get a decent bite to eat.My husband ordered the chicken strips, they were so good that we went back and ate there again today! We both ordered the chicken strips this time. Thanks Big Fella's!EDIT: Got food to go from there today. My husband and I go there to get the chicken tenders because they are amazing. Well, today they were completely different. Different texture, taste, everything. Not that good. I hope they go back to the way they were before.“

“This place has real diner atmosphere. NOT a fast food place. Every table was filled while we were there. Everyone was friendly and quick with service. The burger and fries was good. Nice crispy crinkle cut fries. My wife had the chicken bacon ranch and it was even better. We saw people being served big salads too. If you're in the area, this is a good place to stop.“
