Based on the reviews, El Toro | Mexican offers a mixed experience. The atmosphere is nice and servers are considerate. Some meals, like the mushroom quesadilla and a dish of grilled chicken and grilled shrimp on a bed of rice with sliced avocado and pico de mango, are described as excellent and delicious. The guacamole is very fresh, and the salsa is good. However, other food is described as awful and seriously subpar, with enchilada sauce straight out of a can and cold, bland chips. The margaritas were horrible, and the restaurant charged an extra 3 dollars for cheese topping offered as a choice. Service can be okay, but one waitress was so wonderful and the staff friendly.
