We stop here every time we go up to the Little Red to fish or to see the Swans. Best pulled pork BBQ within 50 miles. Great friendly servers. Reasonable prices. Daily specials. Closed Mondays.
I have never eaten here, but my Fiancé has eaten here multiple times with his buddies. It stays very busy. You can eat in or take out. He says that it is just outstanding and it always has been. He loves everything on the menu, including the multiple types of homemade pies and banana pudding for dessert. All of the barbecue sauces and sides are made from scratch. I guess it's true when they say there is more than one kind of BBQ. As a north Iowa native, our typical BBQ is cooked in sauce and falling off the bone. Although it was tasty, it just wasn't what I thought it would be. What I got I believe was what is called dry rubbed? No sauce, just dry spices and it seemed more smoked than grilled but there was sauce on the table. Not complaining, just making sure that people should ask questions if they're not familiar with local BBQ.
