We were lost on this particular day! On our way home we stopped here. This place had a nice menu. The staff were polite and helpful. My companion wanted the catfish, I got the same. The corn fritters were the best I’ve had. The catfish was fresh and fried crispy! So good, I didn’t add anything to it, perfectly seasoned. For me the highlight was the pickled green tomatoes! Amazing. And the beans in this pot….just slow cooking! We were the only African American patrons sitting...

Everything about El Rey's was great! It wasn't busy when we were there, so we were seated right away. Chips and salsa were served from the moment we arrived. The menu has a lot of options. Once we ordered, we didn't have to wait too long to get our food. Great portion sizes, and everything tasted amazing! We'll definitely be back!
