Hope was great as our server. Asked for recommendations & was not disappointed. The food was very good. Oysters were good, very fresh. We will definitely be back. It’s not very fancy but neither are we. We love the laid back atmosphere. We’ve eaten at some of the other restaurants down town, paid for the atmosphere & the food was high priced & not as good.

This place was incredible me and my partner had the best time with our server Liz, she’s the best. The food was so delicious from the cook who just came in from Louisiana, as soon as she said she was from Louisiana we knew we were about to eat GOOD, and that we did! We were only in town for the night on a long journey and we really needed a good hot meal. The food was so comforting and the company was equally as comforting. We’ll definitely be back for the angels that work there and the scrumptious incredible food. I got a cup of gumbo and wished I’d gotten a bowl because of how dang good it was, the oyster po boy was also delicious and the catfish was the best I’ve ever had, so was the shrimp!!! We can’t wait to go back!!! Forget what Olive Garden says when you’re at Fat Jacks you’re family!

Food prices changed when I got the bill.. asked our waitress why and she said sometimes it goes up because of “market price”. Had ordered crawfish pasta. Price was 14. Got bill and it had turned to 18. Food was mid at best to begin with. Didnt appreciate the sneaky tactics.

Just reading the menu had my mouth and stomach in a frenzy of excited anticipation. All the food sounded amazing and the reviews were icing on the cake. Once we got there the old creole atmosphere was waiting, and the interior was nostalgic with 30 years of past customers waving hello to us from signed dollar bills and signature that adored the walls, ceilings and booths. Once the food arrived I could see why so many people wanted to leave a momento behind. It was a delight to look at and even more so to eat. The staff was super friendly and eager to help. My belt had to be loosened to ease my full stomach. I need to give a big shout out to whatever angel that prepared our meal, it was spot on from one delightful entrée to the next. Great job, to this eclectic Cajun landmark..
If your ever in hotsprings do not miss this place, your stomach and heart will never forgive you.. lol..
Wife and I were seated in a fairly quick time, waitress was sweet and kind placed our order it came fast . I ordered opitay I know not spelled right but what I got was a bowl of salt …… this is the next morning and my tongue is still none the wife she ordered beans and rice what she got was a bowl of beans and a tablespoon of beans plopped on top . Our waitress did bring an extra bowl of rice to add after the fact
We also ordered extra shrimp what we got was six crill sized . So for 50 bucks we walked away hungry and disappointed staff was great but food service part basement quality . As a local couple we won’t be returning to eat anytime soon and as bar its average at best , hotsprings deserves better on that .

We just happened upon this place after eating at another establishment down the road. We saw the karaoke sign and decided to check it out. The upstairs karaoke bar was one of the best bar vibes I have been to in a long time. great mix of patrons: regulars, engagement party group, out of towners, etc. everyone was having a great time. Karaoke DJ kept the fun flowing and the crowd was cheering and singing along to every song. Drink prices were on point and bar food was good. Will definitely be back!
