Visiting from Australia, my husband and I stopped at McClard’s during our short stay in Arkansas and were so glad we did! The food was fantastic — we especially loved the coleslaw, sausage, and the blackberry cobbler. The staff went above and beyond, offering great sightseeing tips and making us feel genuinely welcome. We would absolutely return — highly recommended!

Great simple BBQ, really rustic feel inside. Has history baked into the place itself. Old diner feel.

Beware !!! Do not eat here !!! My entire family got food poisoning from McClards. Tasted terrible and after a couple bites we all tossed it. The next day, they shut down “for cleaning and sanitation” but the health department was about to shut them down. You even made the news! Historic restaurant gone bad from new owners that are running it into the ground ! Beware !!! Do not eat here !

Pretty good ribs! I’m going to have to start letting these restaurants know I’m a food critic!

I wanted to pick up a pound of chopped pork from McClards for sandwiches on 8-30-25, (since 3 of the other BBQ places that I have used were either sold out or closed) Worst BBQ that I've ever had! That night I was up all night on the throne and still making frequent trips today 5 days later. Food poisoning! Had to go to the doctor. I called the Mgr the next day she said that she was sorry, but reassured me that the Mcclards recipe hasn't changed but I did get an apology. And that was all! That was all that I ate that day. Will not eat there again or recommend this restaurant!

I picked up bbq for the family and the meat is pulverized instead of chopped or pulled. It made 3 of 5 of us have upset stomachs for 24 hours. I do not recommend it

The best BBQ in Arkansas. I am shocked that this place doesn't have a higher rating. When you look at McClard's BBQ from the outside, you know you're in for a treat when you see the classic, old-style restaurant. The inside reflects that, too. I ordered a plate of ribs with fries on the side. McClard's does it a little differently though, and I get why. When my food arrived, my fries were stacked on top of the ribs. Why? Honestly, I am not sure, what I am sure though is that the flavor of the ribs were on the fries, even though the fries were seasoned themselves, making them ten times more delicious than what I was expecting the fries to be. The ribs themselves, though, was life changing. The meat was practically falling off the bone when I picked it up, which to me is a great sign for good BBQ. The seasoning and smokiness of the rib was absolutely phenomenal. I wish I could describe it to you, but you'll just have to try it for yourself!

Worst food ever. Had the same experience as a fellow Texan. I had the sampler and the meat was dry as jerky. My son and my husband had the “tamale” idk what the hell that was but it was awful. Please DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!! The tamale stuffing looked and tasted like canned dog food. Even their grilled cheese was like biting into a bar of salt.
Waitress was great she was so very kind and welcoming.

You have to stop here if you want great Bbq. As we eat our leftovers as there was no way to finish the amazing amount of bbq on our plate, I neede to tell everyone to come by. As a tourist driving by, you might not think much of this old time diner, inside this retro restaurant uses the original recipe for the best ribs and sausages I have ever tried. Amazing friendly staff, amazing food and so much food😎. I was only disappointed that I did not have room to try the famous Wednesday bbq chicken. The deserts looked wonderful as well. We have tasted a lot of bbq on our travels and this one is tops. Enjoy

Ribs were at room temperature; no smoke on the brisket or sausages. It was just a meal...not a special treat of bbq...beans were strange, but cole slaw was very nice. Pretty 😔 sad based on their past of excellence...
