Reservation at 3:00 and we didn't get to eat till 4:15. Several dishes were out like stuffing which is a thanksgiving must. They eventually put more out but after I was mostly done eating. All of this for $70 a person. Ridiculous!
The food was good but not for the price. Our reservation was for 3 pm but didn't get sat till after 4 pm.
Asking for a specific time to dine is useless! Most reservation times exceeded 45-60 minutes past what was scheduled
We waited over an hour for our table even though we had a reservation. Staff was apologetic, but it was very crowded. Overbooked? Food was good, but Arlington dining room and bar wait area definitely showing age. We were also surprised that not only was sales tax added to our ticket, but also hotel tax. Very expensive experience. We won't go again.
We have gone to The Arlington every year for Thanksgiving Feast, in the years before and since it reopened after covid. Last year was the best experience we had there, so we were extremely disappointed in several aspects this year. Price went up significantly per person; an 18% tip was automatically added for 7 people; and for the first time, 2.5% added for using credit card (we paid over $620 in cash for 7 people). Moreover, there were far fewer menu items offered this year. In previous years, salmon without sauce and peeled to eat shrimp and cocktail sauce were offered, but not this year. Vegetable side dishes and desserts offerings were also reduced. Last year, gluten-free items were labeled as such, which is very important to my celiac guests. When they went back for seconds on meat, my guests stated they got scowls from the servers as well as a much thinner slice. Question: What kind of place overcharges and then under-delivers on a meal advertised as an all-you-can-eat dining experience? Answer: The Arlington in Hot Springs. Our waitress hardly visited the table to simply refill drinks and water, and when she did, she put water in one of my guest's Sprite drink. I normally would still tip even though it is self-serve dining, but typically not as much as 18% unless warranted by outstanding service. In contrast, last year I tipped 20%. However, we experienced such especially low level of table-waiting, yet had no choice as the tip was automatically added, which I suspect the waitress was fully aware of so she lacked any incentive to work for the tip. We are not at all likely to continue our Thanksgiving tradition next year at this establishment.
Thanksgiving at The Arlington is always very special. This year was our second year and I think it was even better than last year. The service is really impeccable, and the food was top notch. I highly recommend.
My husband and I both ordered the short ribs. My food was good but his was terrible. Very odd to say the least.
Sunday Brunch at The Arlington does not disappoint. When I asked for a small slice of prime rib at the carving station the carving attendant was urged to give me a second slice but I assured them that it was exactly what I wanted. The bacon stands out and is cooked exactly the way I like it-- crispy, not too floppy, lots of curves. There are lots of options including fresh crepes, an omelet station, prime rib, waffles, french toast, salmon, more than I can list. We have been a few times and have really enjoyed our experiences. The live music by Jacob Flores adds to the experience. Staff is excellent, we had a wonderful time and will be back.
After planning a special night out, we were sadly disappointed. Our waitress started out by pouring our water all over. Then said she would go get rolls. About 10 minutes she returns to take our order. Brings my drink and spills it. Makes a joke about it. Says she will go get our rolls. After 1 hour we are still setting with nothing in front of us and no waitress anywhere. Finally the kitchen help comes out with food which is under cooked and nearly warm. Missing the soup and still no rolls. Waitress finally shows up after half way done. Only a small apology and no adjustments made.
The food was very lackluster and took 40+ minutes to come out - the waitress apologized profusely for how long it was taking several times - I felt bad for her, honestly. The ribeye was thin and very fatty - like poor choice in cut fatty, not regular ribeye fatty - and the potatoes were oddly sweet. The dinner's saving grace was the chocolate ganache cake. Like, don't get anything else, honestly. It was warm, chocolatey, rich; but, also came with a berry sauce and some type of cream that cut through all the fat and richness beautifully. It was so good I was tempted to order another through room service.

Most of the food was subpar and lukewarm. Prime rib from the carving table was inedible, tough and looked old and dried out. Lox, cheese selection and fruit was good. Benedict had a nice flavor for being in a chaffing dish. Bacon sausage good. Baked Salmon was dry and broccoli was cold. Expected much more for the price. Line was too long for the crepe station. Waffles looked good. Dessert pumpkin cheesecake tasted like previously frozen. They did have a large selection of food but it didn't feel elevated at all.
The ambiance is nice and what you would expect from a historic hotel. The live A.M. music was fun. Our server was friendly and attentive. It's odd that chicken masala and pasta was offered but no scrambled eggs on a brunch menu. Eggs Benedict was the only egg option. It was also disappointing the homemade donuts were not offered. The food is always good but pricy. $100+ for two without alcohol.
Our party of four truly enjoyed our meals and the attention of our server. I had the prime rib special for the evening. It was delicious, although could have been served at a warmer temperature. Afterwards we enjoyed after dinner drinks on the balcony. Overall, a lovely evening.
Had higher expectations for the dining options! Considering the place is dilapidated & moldy I'd thought they might put those items top of list to update apparently not. Food was ok temps.. steak was not filet mignon. Better than what a wedding reception has but that's yhe best analogy I got.
Dated. The food was above average but for the money... It was lacking.
