One of my favorite places to eat in little rock. I go whenever I can. I really really wish they kept the buffet open alittle longer though (like 330/4) or that they had one for dinner.... Almost Everything I've eaten here has been awesome and i definitely eat too much... A lot of non-middle eastern people tend to gripe about atmosphere.. The trick is watching what the other people do. I was super confused my first time going. I had zero idea how it worked, price or anything...read full review

i love the gyros and other prepared food by the pound, and the grocery offers stuff you can't get other places.

Al Seraj Mediterranean Restaurant & Market provides a pleasant dining experience with a separate store area at the back. The lunch buffet, available Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 2:30pm, is popular and offers a variety of freshly cooked meals at reasonable prices. Senior citizens can enjoy a discount. The restaurant is known for its #Halal meals, including the highly recommended kebab sandwich, which can be customized. The garlic sauce is a must-try. Their dinner service features some of the best Middle Eastern food in Little Rock, possibly in all of Arkansas.
The buffet includes meats seasoned with Middle Eastern spices, cooked in flavorful sauces, and served with plenty of vegetables. Highlights include yellow rice, roasted carrots, tabbouleh, dolmas, hummus, baba ghanoush, and a dessert table often offering delicious baklava. The restaurant has a small number of formica-topped tables for dine-in customers, and the atmosphere may seem confusing at first, but understanding the setup makes the experience enjoyable. The staff are friendly and accommodating, providing fast service even for last-minute requests.
Customers appreciate the reasonable prices and good food, with many considering it one of the best halal restaurants for a quick lunch. The all-you-can-eat buffet is a true highlight, making it a go-to place for anyone who enjoys delicious halal food. Although some wish the buffet stayed open longer or had a dinner version, Al Seraj continues to offer some of the best Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes in the area, with flavorful meals that are economically priced.
