Hope the restaurant will re-open someday
Love Mr.Chen’s! Great food, atmosphere and people. Sorry it’s set to close 30 Dec 2024. Enjoy browsing the store too but will miss the restaurant.
Good selections of oriental groceries. Fair prices. I like their seafood and hotpot meat selections.
The store is kinda "ghetto", like tiles are coming off the floor and products are plugged on the shelf in haste. But this is an Oriental supermarket that has literally almost everything you can think of in terms of overseas products. My only complaint is that I'm "white" so I've noticed certain workers thinking I'm "casing" the store and following me around. I really don't like that, especially when the security guard is carrying around an AK-47 and I'm being singled out. If you're here to eat tho, there is a Mr Chen's restaurant and it is fantastic. If you're uncomfortable shopping here, at least order the food. They give you 10x the food you expect for a low price and I LOVE that.
Not a friendly store. The owner was very rude. There are 2 other stores very close by that are far friendlier. The newest one has a fantastic selection and unlike this place, they want your business. Stay away!!!
Food was bland, coworker kids were running around everywhere. Food was so bad had leftovers, but didn't take with us. Staff kept staring at us while we were eating, just overall bad vibes

The aroma of fish from the fresh live fish market can be overwhelming, but it goes away shortly.
