It’s a rare experience when you consider you must have been eating garbage your entire life. I had the pecan salad and sweet potato fries and it was heavenly.
Really good comfort food, great atmosphere, staff are friendly and welcoming. Coffee is delicious. Many menu items to tempt you to return soon.

This is a nice establishment and we need more nice establishments. Some people might 🤷 prefer this type of food, but I don't. I wish them well. Sausage biscuit was too bland and too pricy. There 🤔 are other cheaper options in the same center. The toothpick broke off in my biscuit.

Love everything about The Root downtown, but I’m concerned about ventilation at the Breckenridge location. We cut our dinner short due to overwhelming smell of kitchen smoke/exhaust. We sat at the bar and the service was good considering they are newly opened. The sweet potato fries, cornbread, and chicken and dumplings were amazing. Had two tasty, but weak cocktails as well. Will come back and try again.

My wife and I are really excited to have The Root closer to home. We went here today with our daughter and loved the atmosphere. There was a short wait for the food and the waitress was super friendly. There’s also a ton more parking than the other location.

I am from Memphis, on a day trip and I met some Arkansas friends (including your friend, Fred Gray) at the Breckenridge location Sunday for brunch at 1 PM. I have been in the restaurant for fifty years, so now I will speak restaurant…
You were packed, you were getting your asses whipped. The vibe was calm, even with the chaos. We were given a heads up that the food was going to take an extra few minutes, which was much appreciated, preemptive and very professional. When the food hit the table, it was delicious, it was hot and chocked full of flavor. The staff was smiling, cheerful, cordial and helpful. Everyone of them just kept their heads down and got the job done, you’ve created a great culture, I would go to battle with that group anytime.
But wait, it was your fourth day operation at the new location? WTH? You got punched in the face, you battled to the end and emerged victorious.
The restaurant business is hot food hot, cold food cold, keep the restaurant clean and be nice. The Root and its people checked every box…

Dined here Friday evening as part of The Root's shift opening. Had an awesome meal including appetizers, main courses, and a couple of treats for dessert. Everything was delicious and the staff was very attentive and polite. Kudos to Jack and Cori and we wish you continued success.
