This restaurant is now my favorite place to eat! It is awesome on so many levels. They greet you sincerely when you walk in, they are tentative to your needs, awesome service, genuine, polite, fast service. The food is even better than their service, if that is even possible. We came here with friends in early April. They live nearby and knew about my penchant for kitsch so off to The Hitching Post we went. I have read the previous reviews before writing mine and can say we didn’t have the bad experiences that other diners have. My only bummer moment was that there were no horses tied out front at the hitching post lol! The five of us had a great time. We went for a late breakfast on a Sunday and were able to find a seat right away. We loved the small town, cowboy vibe of the place -- with a beautiful view of the mountains out the windows. Friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and good portions. Drinks were a bit on the small side though. Overall, we were impressed and will definitely be back.
